yeah. they're not very good pictures. for the most part, I'm good with it, but I didn't like Odd's picture very much

I think part of that it that her hair looks really stiff, and not at all hair-like. I think that should improve in action and not a stilted photo.

I'm holding judgement till un-filtered, color, full body pics come out.
That poster looks rushed, and they probably used the worst pics they had since it's still pretty early.

Yumi was in the lift photo and the new article on France 4, plus the casting video. So it's not the first time we've seen her.

Why not? It's the live-action portion that's changing, not the animation.

That means other people besides the creator of the show will be in charge of casting decisions, locations, etc. It will be in someone else's hands who doesn't share the vision of the original show. That's especially important in CL, where it's quite plot driven.

I'm pretty sure it'll still follow the same script and ideas, it's just the actors who will be different.

Same script yeah, but without the guiding force of the mind who created it, the performances won't be as inspired, the sets as beautiful, etc. It won't be as it close to it's true envisionment.

I agree. it won't be nearly as good. I can't see the whole company hiring and paying actors for everyone who wants a version. No, it'll be the same script, but everything else will be all wrong.

I don't think it'll actually happen. And even then, CL will become a thing like anime, where the so called "true" fans are the ones who watch the French version, etc. Plus, the fandom is already in love with the French cast. Very Happy

Oh you see, I'm opposite. I can't stand the voice actors. Like honestly, the voices were just....eeeehw.

But Quentin Merabet is fantastic for the fandom, he's always retweeting them and making tumblr go insane.

I'm with Shadows on this one. The VAs just weren't very good. and they were way overstreched. 6 VAs for the whole show? Every minor character sounds like one of the main characters.

OMG THE TRAILERRRR

The animation certainly looks crisp. More cutesy than the Lyoko-style of old. I like the new virtualisation scenes, they're pretty cool. This is a really abridged version of my thoughts 'cause i just keep watching it over and over SO EXCITED

THERE WAS ONE POINT WHEN I WAS WATCHING IT THAT I THOUGHT "OH MY GOD THEY'RE ACTUALLY DOING IT!!!!"
I mean, we've gotten numerous false alarms through the years.
I think it's funny how much more emotion they show in this than in the old CL.
But I'm excited!

Yesss I was thinking the same thing! It's so weird, after so much "wouldn't it be cool to have a fifth series?" to "ooh rumours" to "there's gonna be a fifth series" to ACTUAL FOOTAGE.

Ah! The new trailer looks amazing! I won't lie, I was a little uneasy about them looking different on Lyoko (their faces mostly), but after seeing that my mind has changed. Lol. I'm so excited!
