I liked it! It was an awesome great start, I think. It leaves me anticipating the rest of the series. I agree with Snickie, in that it was kinda rushed and stuff. Yeah, the attack was pretty tame. Hopefully it gets better. I was debating whether or not I thought the fall was corny or if it was just because it was Jim. Overall, not bad! Would have loved it even more if I spoke French. Razz

I didn't feel the pressure as much as the previous seasons, but I figure, it's a first episode. Like Snickie said, it's a first episode, so they were probably trying to do a subtle-not-subtle info dump to catch up old and new viewers alike.

It's cool how they were able to get into action so quickly, but I wished they would've had more trouble. But these are all little gripes. I LOVED it. Jim is so perfect. The entire cast is really good. I love the script. I like how the school and supercomputer are done up. And I'm, like, still freaking out about this whole episode in general.

I'm liking the towers a little more too. It was nice to see that the whole insides and process for everything was the same. I can deal with the outsides.

ALSO. The Ulrich/Yumi moments were adorable. It was funny when Odd encouraged Ulrich to talk to Yumi, too.

I watched the first episode again, but with Spanish subs and I understood more of it Very Happy

Anyway, I loved this episode so much, though I agree with Queen the sparring scene was just rolling around :L nonetheless, I'm glad to see that Ulrich's still being his awkward self and Odd is still pushing him to do something about him and Yumi.
A quick question, but what's the situation with William, because at the end of the series he knew about XANA and Lyoko, but he was barely mentioned in this episode(I couldn't understand everything when he was talking to Yumi), maybe they tell him next episode? Or what?

Also, I can already feel the obsession returning omg mass fanart and faniction here we come =.=

William's going to confront them in episode 2, on the way back from the factory. He sees them sneaking off and figures there's something up. He then finds Odd trapped in the cafeteria trying desperately to get out and realises it must be because Xana is attacking, and goes to the factory instead.

He's been treated poorly by Odd and Ulrich during the break between now and season 4 because they blame him for getting captured by Xana, but he gets accepted into the group because they could use the extra fighter on Lyoko. Full summary's here if you're interested.

I hope eps 2 and 3 end up on YouTube sometime today. I promised to see The Hobbit with my dad today which starts at noon, and the episodes show at 1:45pm, meaning I'll still be at the theater when they air.

I haven't noticed anything odd (haha GET IT I'm so hilarious) with his tail animation, but then again, I wasn't really paying much attention. What's up with his tail? ;a;

Eh, it's just really basic, not very cat-like at all. Also episode 1 has been released in HD, PM me for the link if you want it.

Can someone point me to where the directors said the episode titles would be pretty much the same in French and English? I can't find it.

I know that dailymotion.com has episodes 1 and 2 subbed. They probably have episode 3 as well I'm guessing. And stuff on dailymotion doesn't usually get pulled down that I've seen so if you guys still want to see them, I'd check there.

Well, after seeing Laura an episode, I'm not too sure how I feel about her. Maybe her character will improve. Though, I have to admit, jealous Aelita is hilarious. Ha ha. And, come on guys, poor William. He was awesome last time he went, you clearly need his help.

But omg wow. Jealous!Aelita, from what I know so far (i.e. what I'll know until English subs come out), is even funnier than jealous!Ulrich and jealous!Yumi.

Yeah I'm not sure about Laura yet. Honestly I hope that she doesn't go toward the Mary-Sue that she felt like in this newest episode but who knows?

I don't know if I'd call her a Mary-Sue...a Mary-Sue would be more like Aelita's long-lost sister who has superpowers on Earth and whom every boy falls in love with. Though rare it's not at all abnormal for a smart, nerdy, IT-loving gamer girl to exist (*coughcough*hi*cough*), nor is it abnormal for her to want to get closer to another nerd like Jeremie. I doubt there are many at Kadic and she probably feels out of place, then she overhears that conversation and believes Jeremie's making a video game, and she's hooked. I think if I were in a situation like that I'd want to be friends too.

Her persistence admittedly was pretty creepy; stalking William to the factory and hacking the lift controls just so that she could find out what Jeremie was up to. This could be explained by a potential ulterior motive, say she's actually working for Meyer or something.

The reactions to Aelita's jealousy could be seen as pretty mean or pretentious; why would she act like that? I think maybe she just got the added bonus of pissing Aelita off because Jeremie actually started to warm up to Laura, like her, seeking another intellectual friend who actually understands what they're talking about and enjoys the things they do. Aelita obviously resented Laura being accepted, yet there she was in the lab helping out. Jeremie stuck up for her at the end too, before the RTTP. So I think it's probably a "haha, you didn't want me in the group but Jeremie does" kind of thing.

Aaaand if you're still thinking "NO SHE'S WAY TOO SMART SHE CAN'T POSSIBLY BE THAT SMART" well, Jeremie is too and nobody's objected to that :/

Well, being a Mary-Sue isn't always a bad thing and, in fact, some actual characters can be considered Mary Sues (as far as I can remember, I did a Mary-Sue litmus test for Aelita earlier on in the series and she did fit the bill).

I'm not so much opposed to Laura because she threatenes JxA...I'm just not sure how I feel about her yet. I could see her becoming a character you either love or hate.

So, I spent all morning trying to get into france4's website so I could watch eppy 6 of CLE. And I thought it was supposed to start around 9:45 my time. But the video player wasn't working for some reason and it kept bringing up tennis. So I found the tv schedule and saw that it was on at 09:45 Paris time. There was a play button next to it, so I click it. Video player pulls up and then nothing happens. It says something about registering to use the service, so I registered through Facebook. Finally, after I surrendered my life to the thing, I pull the video player back up, and it says the time to replay CLE has passed.

I'm just a little bit pissed.

YouTube doesn't have it yet, which means DailyMotion probably doesn't have it yet either.

I guess I'll have to check back tomorrow since I have a percussion thing today.
