Class Info - Ranger
The Ranger is a far more versatile class than it initially appears. While specializing almost exclusively into ranged projectiles weapons, it's their subsequent abilities and use of their talents that differentiate them. The Survivalists embrace a "never say die" style of combat, focusing on utility and endurance, while the Marksman believes in putting as much power into your shots as possible.
Special Feature:
The penalty for medium and long ranged weapons hit chance is reduced by 5%. Further improvements are possible.
While other classes struggle to effectively use the more powerful ranged weapons, this is not the case with Rangers.
Talent Trees:
The ranger could become a survivalist or a marksman.
The survivalist is great at making camp, spotting stuff, finding tracks and what not.
But more importantly, they don't mind to get up close and take some punishment. Or pretend to take it, for they're great at dodging.
The marksman prefers to stay at a great distance and do a whole lot of damage to one or multiple enemies, crippling them as he does.

Hit chance: 40 -> 80% (+2% per point increase)
Crit chance: 3 -> 7.5% (+2.5% per point increase)
Crit rating: 1 -> +1 dmg (+1 per point increase)
Toughness: 0
Resistance: 0
Dodge chance: 2 -> 5% (+2.5% per point increase)
Dodge rating: 1 -> -1 dmg (+1 per point increase)
Agility: 3 -> 6% (+2% per point increase)
Starting Skill:
Spell Reflect
Level 1
Effect: Next spell damage done to you is decreased by 50%. Lasts for 2 actions.
Cost: 1 energy
Casttime: Instant
Cooldown:6 actions
Starting Talent:
Aspect of the Wild: When succesfully inspecting a creature you will be able to find out all stats including weaknesses, special attacks etc.
OR
Expert Ranger: Reduces penalty from long ranged weapons to 0 and increases accuracy for a medium ranged weapon by 5%. (Making it 0% penalty long, and +5% medium accuracy)
Suggestions:
Great Tank class. Able to stay in the fight for a long time.
Very new player friendly.
You're great at inspecting creatures and your teammates will love you for putting some points in this.
Primary stats focused on dodge chance and rating, plus agility to make you un-crit-able and hard to hit in general.
Still able to put out good damage as well as deal with incoming damage.
Works well with two-handed weapons.
Marksman

Strength: 2
Hit chance: 33 -> 82.5% (+2.5% per point increase)
Crit chance: 3 -> 9% (+3% per point increase)
Crit rating: 2 -> +2 dmg (+1 per point increase)
Toughness: 0
Resistance: 0
Dodge chance: 1 -> 2.5% (+2.5% per point increase)
Dodge rating: 1 -> -1 dmg (+1 per point increase)
Agility: 0 -> 0% (+2% per point increase)
Starting Skill:
Multi-Shot
Level 1
Effect: Can hit up to three targets at once for 50% of normal damage + 1
Cost: 1 energy
Casttime: 1 action
Cooldown: 3 actions
Starting Talent:
Aimed Shot (rank 1): When succesfully interrupting a spell, the target is also distracted for 2 actions.
OR
Expert Ranger: Reduces penalty from long ranged weapons to 0 and increases accuracy for a medium ranged weapon by 5%.
Suggestions:
A top notch damage dealing class, sometimes able to put down targets before they engage.
Basically requires a two handed medium/long range weapon.
Versatile methods of dealing damage. Can focus on scoring critical hits, focus on dealing damage to multiple enemies, or can simply have a crushing attack.
