If it helps any, you’re not alone…The school system in the US is pretty messed up too. It seems like the entire purpose is to teach enough so that the students pass the test & move on, but often that doesn’t mean that they actually learn anything…

I broke down in class today after a group of students (me included) were thrown out of class for not doing homework, along with a generous dose of the teacher's raised voice. The pressure on me was too much, and getting thrown out of class and yelled at was the last thing I needed, and I ended up breaking down. After that, my Math teacher just had to bring the whole incident up again, and he was scolding the class and pretty much indirectly labelling us as lazy and worthless, and I broke down again. I can't take the pressure any more. Both times I broke down, I was seriously contemplating jumping, because I was so distressed. I want to just stay home. I don't see the point of going to school to get scolded for our mistakes, while no one praises our good deeds. The whole system is screwed up and useless. By the time I am done with my education, I'm pretty sure that almost everyone will have linear thinking, and the lack of any more creativity.

I'm sorry to hear that, Heart. Somethinng like that happend to me last year actually. My friend and I brought on a lecture to the whole class by our physics teacher. We were sitting in the back of the room and whispered something and shared a little laugh together and rather than telling us to be quiet, he flipped out and started telling us how we are worth nothing and will never get a good job and blah blah.

I was like dude relax, calm down, you look like a fool and an idiot put together. Congratulations on embarrassing yourself though.

Heart, I really think you need to get out of this school. Whether that means transferring, or taking time off, or getting help for how you’re feeling, or any other option, this school just doesn’t seem like a good fit for you. If you focus on the positives, maybe you can convince your parents that there’s a better opportunity for you somewhere else…

I've tried, but my parents refuse to. That's what I get for asking on the last year of school, I guess. I'm looking forward to getting out of this school. It's a place or torture and pain. I can't understand the logic behind taking so many subjects for school only to end up taking 4 subjects when we go on to tertiary education. I'm really relieved that I still have some sense of curiosity within me. All those years of schooling really ruined the dream-like way I used to view life, though. What a pity.

A few days ago, I was so stressed I nearly set fire to my homework and books.

I'm developing a growing adoration/attraction for one of my seniors (she's female), and the whole thing seems so taboo.

Social interaction is hard. =__=
I'm not socially inclined enough to sit at a table with a whole bunch of people who are having two different conversations simultaneously. So then I get labelled as a creeper or antisocial because I just sit and listen and don't really contribute ever.

Things aren't going how'd I'd like them to with my ex either. A word of advice: don't date someone you have to see everyday. It makes post-breakup that much more difficult, especially if you can't be friends again.

I've gained five pounds. O: I might actually be in the normal BMI range. And I wouldn't care if it was showing up in the right places, but it's not. I'm a poor college music student lol. I can't afford to go jeans shopping right now. Especially with my recent yarn habit lol.

I feel your pain. My sleep schedule is so weird that I can have 6hours of sleep one day, then 4 hours the next. And with the unrealistic expectations? Definitely. I'm aiming for 6 distinctions. Currently, I'm only achieving a mere 2 distinctions. I'm really worried over it.

Do you need 6 distinctions to graduate? If not, it would probably be better to devote your time & energy to the two, instead to spreading yourself too thin to get all of them…

No, but I need 6 distinctions if I want to get into a good school and secure my position. I'm aiming for a really great school that requires 6 distinctions,but at the rate I'm going, I'm scared that I won't be able to get in.

Distinctions here are As. There are 2 grades of As: A1 and A2. A1s are awarded when you get 75 and above. A2s are awarded when you get 70-74. To get into my dream school, I need 6 A1s :/

It's sleeting outside...I thought we were done with winter weather! D:<

If we're going to have winter weather, I hope we have school off tomorrow, because A) I don't want to go to Spanish...and B) I need more time to study for an exam tomorrow.

A mystery author named Richard Castle gets to follow around one of NYPD’s detectives, Kate Beckett, after a murder is committed based on one of his novels. Inspired to write a character based on Beckett, he gets permission to tag along on their cases, & sometimes even helps solve the case.

I’m terrible at summaries, so it’s a lot more interesting than I’m making it sound. Each episode is written like a mystery novel, & they’ve had episodes that have covered things like vampires, zombies, treasure hunts, time travel, etc…
