Re: General Chat March
Wow, I’ve never heard of something like that before…Maybe you can try avoiding it all together by using hand sanitizer?
Re: General Chat March
Happy Birthday to Kid Flash, even though I don't know you. That should not get in the way of wishing someone a happy birthday!

Re: General Chat March
Idk now, because when I washed my hands again with different soap it still made me just as nauseous. I think I was just looking for any excuse to put down the school's awful-smelling soap because it really is awful. I vomited about five minutes later and then everything was fine. My mom thinks it was a reaction to eating so much fried stuff because she goes through the same thing except it takes her like 12 hours to recover whereas I was just like, *hurl* "I feel better now! I'm going to eat two bowls' worth of soup now!"

Re: General Chat March
Evil soap is evil. Vomiting is also evil. We should have a Big Thread of Evil, in which we list evil things that are evil.
I will try to come on more often, but generally homework and stuff gets in the way. But no homework now because we're on Easter break, so yay!

Re: General Chat March
We're onto Shakespear in English, but I have to say I'm looking forward to it. We're studying Hamlet and Macbeth and for our essay we have to compare how disturbed characters were portrayed in the plays. You gotta love crazy characters and we get to watch the version of Hamlet with David Tennant in it, which is always a good thing.
Re: General Chat March
And Koneko mentioning Shakespeare made me think of the scene where Lady Macbeth washes her hands for ages because she goes mad ('out, damned spot!') and that links to Snickie and the soap

I am totally alive! Unless I'm undead. In which case you'd better go back to China to check that Rai's not still wandering around, Atlas...

Re: General Chat March
We had district concert band music performance assessment today. Our school took two bands.
Before I give out the ratings, I should probably do a brief explanation of the scoresheets.
There are three boxes or main captions: performance fundamentals, technical accuracy, and musical effect. And all of these have a whole bunch of subcaptions. So in each box are three columns (for each of three pieces) and at the bottom of each are boxes to write the overall grade for that song and caption, and below those another box to put the average grade for that main caption. (So, for example, if in musical effect piece A gets an A, piece B gets a C, and piece C gets a B, the average grade for that caption would be B.). Those three grades get averaged together into a final grade, and we get three of these (one from each of three judges) which get averaged in with the sightreading score (same thing except only two pieces and one judge) to produce our final grade.
A - Superior
B - Excellent
C - Good
D - Fair
F - Poor
So anyways, our lower band got straight Superiors for the stage performance and an Excellent in sightreading for an overall Superior. They played easier music (grades 3 and 4 and a low-level march) and were able to perform it well enough that the judges thought we deserved straight superiors. (I don't know about straight A's, but definitely straight Superiors.)
Our top band, which was playing two grade 4s and a 6 (the march was a 4). No other bands at this event played a grade 6. And we got straight Goods onstage. We sightread different music too, and even though I thought it went much better than the lower band's sightreading, they still received an Excellent. Our second piece was a slow one...and our poor oboe player has an awful oboe that, no matter what she or anybody else does, will not play in tune, and the piece we were playing had lots of oboe solos. The third piece (the grade 6) fell apart momentarily near the end, too.
So, knowing our overall rating and what we got on the sheet... I'm kind of afraid to know what was actually on the sheets. But our band director is determined to be happy about everything that happened today. Even so, I still can't help but feel disappointed.
So my mom and I went and drowned our disappointments in sushi.
(Snickie doesn't actually expect that everyone will read this entire post.)

hahaha I used to watch that show all the time! I think the last time I watched that show was the first season when the new people including Olivia Wilde were being selected...dang that was about six years ago already!

No, I don't like this at all.
I don't like the split screen thing. I don't like the topics all squished to one side.
Plus I just had a horrible day
