Re: M&P: Carthage Troubles
Wow! I think your drawing of me looks better than I do in real life!
I also love how I trip & reveal a possible clue…That’s exactly the sort of thing I would do, lol!

Well you're a sparklepire. It's supposed to be beautiful.
No, but seriously, thanks.
Now on to the next scene. Voting turnout so far has been very disappointing.

“Alright, who’s responsible?” Neron hissed as Stella lay curled up on the floor holding her head.
“Who? I do believe it was a ceiling block that crushed Cats,” Atlas pointed.
“That’s not the point, Atlas,” Cya glared. “Someone brought us here and is trying to kill us all, and it’s probably one of you guys trying to herd us into traps.”
“How would that be possible?” JueJue asked. “Nobody’s at the supercomputer.”
“That we know of,” Cya pointed out. “They could have easily created a copy of their avatar to deal with us here without risking their own neck.”
Stella, still on the ground, moaned and nodded agreement, the reflection of JueJue’s pink glow on Stella’s sparkly sparklepire skin moving with the nod.
“Well, whoever is in control must’ve turned pain mechanisms on,” said the sprite. “I don’t think Stella’s going to be able to get back up anytime soon.”
“So let’s get out of here,” said Neron as if that was all there was to it.
“That’s not all there is to it, though,” said Cya. “We were trying to escape and a wall crushed Cats. Who’s to say the same won’t happen if we try to escape again?”
“It’s better than staying cooped up in here,” Neron shot back.
“So...how are we going to get past the block?” asked JueJue. “It’s obvious brute force won’t do it; otherwise it would’ve moved when Stella rammed into it.”
“Magic,” Stella mumbled.
“Hey, that’s right! You’re a magician, aren’t you?” Neron looked at Cya.
“Yeah, but I’m useless without my wand.”
“But Atlas is a god,” JueJue pointed out. “Maybe he can use his god powers to move the block.”
Everyone at that point stared at Atlas. He cracked his knuckles. “I’ll certainly try.” Putting his hands around the biggest cracks, he concentrated, acquiring a purple glow not unlike that of JueJue’s, and the cracks put out purple glows as well. The block began to vibrate, and then ascended to the ceiling. Atlas jerked back at the sudden motion, and, losing the glow, stared out at the room in front of him.
“Well that worked out well,” he muttered before entering the chamber. It was pretty much exactly the same as the other rooms: blue blocks and a few random doorways. In this room there was a wide footbridge across the middle in the shape of a plus. Each leg of the plus led to a hallway, and it was the only ground most of them (besides JueJue, who remained in the air) had access to walk on. The hallway on the left seemed just a little bit lighter than the other three.
JueJue noticed this and pointed to it. “Should we try that one? I think it looks lighter than the others. Maybe it leads us outside.”
Nobody objected, and so everyone followed her. Sure enough, it led them to the elevator room between the corezone and the very outside of the sector. JueJue grounded herself so she could ride the elevator with everyone else, and a minute or two later they found themselves at the ledge which contained the interface.
“Hooray! We made it!” Neron celebrated as they all stared out at the field of dark blue around them.
“Not quite,” said Cya. “We need to hack into the interface to fix the supercomputer, right?”
“Oh... right.”
They stared at it for several minutes before Neron realized that JueJue’s glow was solid instead of jeweled as it had been before. He turned around.
“Where the quit being a pottymouth is Stella?” he shouted.
JueJue, Atlas, and Cya whipped around immediately at that only to find that Stella was indeed absent. “Oh my God, don’t tell me we left her back at the core zone!” Cya cried out. “I thought she was right behind us!”
“That’s just one more person we’ve lost or lost track of,” murmured Atlas. “No use in going back for her, what with all the traps XANA or whoever did this probably has for us. I’m surprised we made it here.”
As if on cue to spite his words, laser fire rained down on them, hitting each team member once. Looking up revealed that three mantas had hatched and flown over them without anyone else noticing. More laser fire came, but was blocked by JueJue’s energy shield. However, a stray mine slipped past and into the middle of the group, exploding and knocking everyone off the platform though it did no damage to life points. Atlas managed to grip the edge of the platform, with Neron holding onto his legs, but Cya was sent plummeting into the abyss below. JueJue, the only one not blown away by the explosion, sent off two energy fields to two of the mantas, hitting both targets, before zipping downwards in hopes of catching Cya before it was too late.
Her fingertips managed to brush Cya’s, and then it was too late. Cya passed through the digital membrane, her passing marked by a laser of light coming up from right where her body had penetrated. JueJue slowly floated back up towards the block. Neron had managed somehow to climb up Atlas’s body onto the block which held the interface and destroy the last manta, and Atlas was willing the side of the block to grow hand grips so he could climb up, which he eventually did.
The three of them stared at each other and at the interface, all at a loss for words.
Voting is due by 7:42pm EDT on Saturday, 4 May 2013. This is your very last chance to get rid of the murderer, guys. I suggest you take it seriously, and discuss, and vote.

This would allow me to see what to do and not to do when it's my turn.
Also, did I mention I hate geometry now? Stupid cubes.

Re: M&P: Carthage Troubles
I think the lack of voting is probably a combo of bad timing (everybody’s in that final leg of the semester/school year) & really well hidden clues. I honestly have no idea who it might be…
Re: M&P: Carthage Troubles
Hey wait a minute I'm supposed to believe my awesome godliness couldn't handle some Manta mines while Juejue over there goes nuts and then 'just barely' couldn't catch Cya....
....well if that ain't suspicious I'm on to you Juejue!

It was awhile before Neron finally spoke up.
“So I guess we know what happens next.”
“No,” said JueJue. “I don’t.”
“Simple,” Neron replied. “We kill you.”
“I don’t understand,” she murmured. “Why kill me?”
“Because it was you the whole time. You failed to save Cya, you failed to save Snickie, you didn’t heal Stella when she was dazed.” He paused to take a breath. “You’re like some evil Aelita, and the only solution to save Atlas and myself is to kill you.”
“Are you a psychic?” she asked.
“What does it matter?!” he shouted, leaping forward suddenly and moving his arms as if he was going to karate chop her wings off. While they didn’t come off, he did tear one and dent the one below it, and she was pretty much permanently grounded. “You’re the one who led us all here! You’re a failure and you know it. You almost succeeded. But I won’t let you finish me off!”
He charged forward but missed his target as JueJue leapt into the air. However, her broken wing caused her to twist and bump into Neron, who went plummeting into digital oblivion while screaming profanities. She was knocked back from the impact, and found herself hanging off the edge of the small platform by her fingertips.
“Atlas...” she pleaded. “Help me.”
Atlas merely stared down at her.
“I didn’t kill everyone, I swear it! Help me please!”
“I know,” said Atlas as he lowered his hand towards yours. He rested the palm of his hand on the fingers of her hand that was the only thing keeping her out of the digital void. She gasped in terror as he began prying her fingers off of the platform.
“I did.”
And with that, JueJue existed for seven seconds more, and then ceased to exist. In those seven seconds, she formed an energy field and threw it off just as her foot penetrated the digital void. It bounced harmlessly off one of the tunnels and disintegrated.
Atlas stared at the empty celestial dome around him, turned around, and walked back into the core zone.

Re: M&P: Carthage Troubles
I have them typed up, but I'm not at my computer now.
Most of it had to do with the way things were worded and the fact that Atlas was A GOD. Also, how he made red herrings and frames around the others is something very Atlas-like I think. I figured he'd be gone early on because people kind of naturally suspect him anyway, but a combination of "my prediction was wrong" and "people aren't voting!" Took it in a different direction. And a fatal one I might add.
Just an FYI: I didn't vote for anyone the round Kelly was voted out because it wouldn't have made a difference, and I died immediately afterwards.
One of the more blatant clues was that the dent Stella's head made in the side of the block in scene 3 actually spelled out OxA, only vertical. Another one was the language filter, which Cya picked up (but that was kind of expected since she was the psychic).

And the only thing I could think of is "Long live the king."
Re: M&P: Carthage Troubles
I also engaged in the time honored tradition of killing all my mod members first.
Don't know why people failed to pick up on that one.

Re: M&P: Carthage Troubles
Wait. So we spend most games of M&P going "omg the murderer must be Atlas because, well, it's Atlas!" only for it to not be him. Then we start to think "wait maybe it isn't Atlas because it's too obvious so he wouldn't try to be the murderer..." ony for Atlast to be the bloody murderer!
You knew this was going to happen didn't you, Atlas?
Btw, who's hosting the next game?
