I wanted to take APUSH last year, but it conflicted in my schedule with AP Calc, and there was no way I was withdrawing from that class. So I took regular USH which was taught by the same person who teaches APUSH and also happens to be my AP Gov/Econ teacher and is totally awesome.

I totally regret not taking AP Gov now, because I've realised that it would've been a class I'd really enjoy. And bonus points! I wouldn't have to pay and take it online because it's offered at my school.

I had a terrible APWH 'teacher'.

I got a 100 on my math quiz. It seemed pretty easy. That's probably because I'm very good at math.

Both my parents were really bad at math, but I'm very good at math. I'm two years ahead of most people in my grade. I wish I took honors level math though. The math I'm taking is really boring.

Random, but I found it strange how in America you have your history split up into world/national/etc... yet in England we have it all put together and we have a longer history. I think it's weird :L

Trust me, Americans hate studying World History. It's just so much. ;a;
American history is nothing compared to that, but they make us study very specific stuff.

I'm taking Calculus 3 this spring, and if I play my cards right, I'll start my first year of full-time college having already taken Diff EQs, which they will DEFINITELY like.

I like American History. A lot of it fits in neatly with modern world history (WWI, WWII, we even had a bit of a background on England, just so we could see where aspects of our constitution came in.) My World History class I took Freshman year was everything up to the Renaissance and I actually liked that a ton too.

I just like History??

That being said, those are the only two history courses I'm required to take.

Ooooh, my school started offering APWH, but I didn't have room for it in my schedule. This was the first year they started offering it and from what I hear, it's a terrible, terrible class with lots of essays and writing and hard tests.

In other news, I've started the hunt for a college. I've gone on two visits on my own, and toured about three others with my school. It's kind of horrifying, tbh.

Well AP classes, any classes really, vary in difficulty.

Like, for instance, the average score for my school on the AP Calculus exam last year was like, a 4.6 or something around there. And that does not match up to the national average at all (which is like, a 2. Like, you're basically told that if you take it, you can sleep through college calc.

So it really varies, depending on the teacher or what year it is.

I haven't been to any colleges besides the local community college, and that's only because I take a class there. I'm basically not allowed to drive outside of the town where I live, so I can't go anywhere by myself. -grumble- So I just have to guess where I'd like to go, apply online, and only visit the places I get accepted to in the spring. I don't like this plan. -.-

I'm in pre-calc 47. The 47 means it's advanced but not honors level. If I was not in advanced math I'd be taking geometry. I was absolutely horrible at geometry when I was in middle school. I'm glad I took it in middle school so colleges hopefully won't see it.

Try just doing English history, there's so much of it TT^TT It's just invasion after invasion and then we get bored of being invaded so we go and create a massive empire instead and then loose the whole damn thing and start hating the world. English history in a nutshell

I found out yesterday that because we're doing triple science, we're going to have 9 exams...just for science

I probably would have liked my World History class a little bit more if I had gotten a different teacher. We spent most of the class reading the text book & filling out charts. That said, I’ve always thought that history was interesting…I love historical fiction, so it’s really cool to learn about the real events & people that inspired the stories…

Where I am, if you take a class that counts as high school credit (goes towards your GPA, fills your course requirements, etc) colleges see it. So like for me, French I, Algebra I, and Composition are on my transcript. Every course I'm taking this year (except one) counts as an honors. I'm lovin' the quarter GPA .

Well, by on my own I meant me and my mom. It's just my school has this college bus trip Sophomore year, and they really stress going to this one University about two blocks away.

That's not cool though, because you really need to experience the different campuses. I've visited three in my city (as well as been on the campus of another one countless times but never taking an official tour) and there's only one that I really even like.

So I thought we would have 9 exams when it came to taking everything for science, I suppose wasn't too bad because then for each exam I'd know if I needed to revise the core stuff or additional or extra. But sadly that is not the case as the lovely people we're forced to call our government have changed it and we are the first year that will have to have our core, additional and extra exams all at the same time, that's 3 exam papers in one sitting (-.-")

So this lovely thing happened to me today.

Teacher: the paper will be due by Sunday afternoon, just email it to me.
Me (thinking): yessssssssssssssssss, I totally have enough time to get it done.
~Later~
Teacher: On second thought, turn it in on Thursday, and bring an extra copy or too.
Me: noooooooooo

AND THEN

Teacher: Labs will be due Monday, maybe Wednesday
Me: Yesssssssssssssss

Teacher: Actually, have the first lab done by Friday morning
Me: noooooooo

So I'm off to do those, and some other stuffs. I just thought it was kind of funny it happened twice int he same day.

So, my calc teacher from last year wants me to do Mathlympics again even though I'm not enrolled in any math classes at the moment.
I went to the first practice this afternoon, and I'm so rustyyyyyy!!!!! Lol
I really need to brush up on vectors again.
