On a downer note, this place is following the exact same pattern as TRsRockin forums did on its decline. The mods there even tried closing the general discussion thread to try and force activity on other parts of the board which had withered away. I have two good friends I still talk to from there, but now the only activity is someone about twice a month just saying 'hi' and holding on to nostalgia.

I don't want to go back to school on monday ;-; I'd wish for a snow day but that's really unlikely and the students who live within walking distance of the school are expected to come in.

Reading your comment depresses me, Ivona. This place goes into a little decline sometimes then picks back up. I have noticed that it tends to do this during the school year.

What we need to do is start using the Chatbox again. There were some good times in there!!!

I'd like to believe so. The problem I really see is that while Evolution had a chance to attract new fans overseas, I'd say for the most part the only people who watched it were those who were already fans (how else would they know of it otherwise?)

Anyhow.. I really am just stalling to avoid writing an essay for English. Bleh essays..

My school had a hair and attire check today, and it got me pissed off.
The pinks of my nails are ridiculously long, and my school has one of the stupidest ways of checking the length of your nails to see if it is appropriate for school. Here it goes:
Hold your hand up, palms facing you, fingertips at around eye level. If you can see the whites of your nails, it's deemed as too long, and you'll have to cut it so that it isn't visible any more.
With that method, my nails were apparently 'too long', and I needed to cut them. The problem is, if I cut until that level, I would cut into my flesh and the pink of my nails. I tried to explain this to my teacher, but he said that there should be 'no excuses' and that I had to cut it asap.
It's a complete piss off. How about I rip my nails out, or cut my fingers off for them? Less trouble for them to deal with.

If your teacher isn’t helping, maybe try to explain things to the principal/assistant principal (whoever’s in charge of enforcing this rule)? The nurse might be helpful too, since it’s their job to understand people’s bodies…

We don't exactly have a nurse here :/
And I doubt that would happen They would  probably send me to the Discipline Master/Mistress, and I'd get detention or something.
It's a pity, because I do love to keep my nails long.

I can easily imagine things being so strict depending on the type of school you attend. Some take health and safety, along with being 'proper' individuals too far.

What's the max punishment they can give you?- because I'd be tempted to give a great big 'screw the rules'.

Nope, government school. It's a 'standard rule' here in Singapore, and it's ridiculous.

I think the max they can punish you for it is to force you to cut your nails, and detention.

In other news, I really hope FSU wins tonight, which is something I rarely ever say because I'm a UF fan. This has been a good game thusfar.

Where I live it's somewhere in the single digits. It's a bit ambiguous as to what temperature, but it's in the single digits. 

Every winter just gets more and more extreme.

It's like negative 3 here without the wind. Who knows what it is with the wind.. and I've got to go at to take care of the rabbits.

The temperature here is 9 degrees without wind, but feels like negative 7.

It's pretty crazy how far south the polar vortex came into the United States. It got to about 7 here in New Hampshire yesterday.

Yesterday it didn't make it into the 50s. Today I think it hit 61. It's supposed to rain tomorrow which sucks but at least it's warming back up. Friday the high is supposed to be 80.
