Spoils of Halloween

It's halloween, and do you know what that means?

If you said: "All Hallows Eve, the night before All Hallows, more commonly known as All Saint's Day," you're right. But, if you said "endless buffet of candy!", you're also right. And probably more practical.

Like The Corn Maze, you have multiple prompts, but in this one, they're all in tune to something sweet. Technically, you could make all the prompts here about a bloodbath and all the prompts there about Odd and Sissi, trick or treating under the stars and comparing each other to all the icky candies (like Whoppers....ew).

So I'm going to give you the choice of candy, and each time you finish one I'll give you the choice of more candy. The thing is, I don't know that much about candy in other countries (besides Mars Bars and everything mentioned in Harry Potter, which is nonexistant), so if you want to send me a PM with different types of candy from your country, that'd be awesome. Let's have a multi-national Halloween!)

Give me Crunch!

1. Sweets

Jeremie Belpois eyed his stash appreciatively. Perhaps it was unseemly for a wizard to take such an interest in candy, but he was still young, and was allowed his vices.

The Dark Wizard Xana had been quiet lately, and even though he stayed vigilant, Jeremie had gotten plenty of rest. Aelita, his familiar, had made sure of that.

This is why he currently stood, surveying the small mountain of chocolate. The small, pinkish pixie flitted next to him, and they both eyed the sweets appreciatively. Dinner was over, the dishes magically clear, and the final, lighthearted ritual of All Hallows' Eve was about to begin.

Making sure to cut the pixie a sizable chunk, and Master and Familiar allowed themselves to dig into the rich, molten chocolate, a symphony of sensation dancing on theirs tongues.

Jeremie yawned suddenly, before turning to his familiar. Had he payed more attention, he would have known the misfortune about to befall him. Bright sparks sparked visibly off her aura, and with a startlingly loud shriek, she flew up, and out the chimney, before circling the Tower, with bright pink sparks hanging in the air behind her.

Jeremie smiled, watching his familiar's joy and hyperactivity.

He would have shown much more concern if he had known who else was watching.

oops! forgot to actually post my story

Ulrich snuck into his room, tiptoeing. Odd was downstairs, but he had threatened Ulrich that if he so much as touched Odd's candy, Odd wouldn't let Ulrich use his cheat sheet at the next big test.

Ulrich promised, but Odd insisted that Ulrich not go into their room without Odd, until Odd managed to buy something to lock his candy in.

Odd insisted so much, that their deal ended up with Ulrich not being allowed to enter the room (on punishment of no test help) until Odd dealt with the candy.

Now Ulrich had to sneak up, to get a few papers of his. But he had to be careful.

Very careful…

Just then he heard footsteps, racing up the hall.

His heart began racing faster, and he glanced around quickly, before dashing into the closet at the last minute.

He got in in a nick of time. He quickly silenced his phone, and waited.

Outside, he heard the sound of the Odd's candy bag rustling.

Great, Odd's here to deal with his candy, Ulrich thought with relief.

But no. He heard a piece of candy being unwrapped, and soon the room was full of the sound of candy being eaten.

Odd really was the biggest candy eater Ulrich had ever met.

Yumi's parents didn't let her eat candy.

Aelita liked the sweetness, but didn't have a huge appetite.

Jeremie ate some when he worked, but he didn't eat much.

Ulrich wasn't a huge fan.

As time passed, Ulrich heard a small snuffle at his feet. He glanced down to see Kiwi, illuminated by the light under the door.

Kiwi clawed at the door, slightly, before he began pacing.

Oh no.

Ulrich had seen that pacing before. Kiwi was getting ready to go all over Ulrich.

Come on, Odd, leave. Leave. LEAVE!

But the munching didn't stop.

And Ulrich was desperate.

Good bye test grades, he thought, and flung the door open.

What he saw was not what he expected.

"Ulrich?!"

Ulrich blinked at the figure eating candy.

"Yumi?!"



And I'll take chocolate, please!
