For Agent KC, It depends on the reason behind the punch,

Mutual combat: the friend got a hit on him, take the damage and try to deal the same amount back

Unprovoked attack: Take the hit, become defensive, and find out the reason behind the attack while avoiding any other critical injuries.

So, WWYCDI everything was suddenly swapped, friends became enemies and vice versa? Would they try to change things back?
