Which leads me to another question: In one of the Lyoko previews for evolution, it shows three hands subsequently touching an interface in what looks like the inside of a tower, namely Aelita, Yumi, and Odd. How did we get to this?

I thought it was Aelita, Ulrich and Odd. Apparently they can deactivate towers too, now. I remember I read that somewhere...

It was Yumi instead of Ulrich. And yes, there are new things called Source Codes that allow them to deactivate 'Power Towers'/'Towers of Power'. The leak mentioned everyone but Yumi and William being able to use them, but Yumi was definitely the one in the trailer. It also mentioned Aelita, Odd and Ulrich being captured by Xana at some point, I'm not sure if that means kidnapping or possession or something else.

Not to change the subject from Evolution, but this has been on my mind: Who turned off the Super Computer? When Franz and Aelita went to Lyoko for the first time, how did the computer get shut off? It's been bothering me. Lol.

Could have been auto-set to it.

It's not hard to do, and in fact most computers have their power options set to have the computer automatically shut down/enter sleep when certain conditions are met.

Yeah, he did. It's probably just like hitting shut down on your Start menu instead of pressing the button on the computer itself.

So I'm currently doing my watch-through, and I just finished watching "A Bad Turn." A krab was materialized, and destroyed two of the scanners. What if the krab had destroyed all of the scanners? There would have been no way to virtualize any of the warriors, and subsequently, no way to deactivate the tower.

Has anything like this happened in any of the later episodes? What would they have been able to do?

EDIT: My only thought would be that they could do a RTTP, but I don't know how it would've played out if a tower was activated.

Well considering the goal of season 2 (the season of which A Bad Turn is a part) was to steal all of Aelita's memories and considering the fact that to do that she had to be on Lyoko, it doesn't happen in season 2. I think Odd should have been virtualized first because then XANA would have had to hold out on destroying the scanner until Aelita was there. And if the third scanner had been destroyed, without Aelita on Lyoko the attack was pretty pointless unless he just wanted to kill all the LWs. Which would have been pretty pointless since Aelita would still be unreachable and the only way to fix the scanners were to RTTP to before they were destroyed. And XANA probably knew that Jeremie wouldn't RTTP if he knew people had died. It's likely he would have called off the attack.

I don't know if you've seen seasons 3 or 4, so I'm going to put the rest of that under a spoiler and you can read it if you want.

I think theres a precedent wherein if you RTTP with an active tower, it stays active. [not sure where i recal this from though]

XANA would need at least one scanner working in order to send even more monsters to our world…

The Krabs were so big they broke the scanners. XANA could have only materialized 3, though he probably could've materialized other things such as kankrelats and hornets and maybe even tarantulas if they were really bunched up.

The towers staying active even after a return to the past was established in the episode: A Great Day. Even after Xana returned to the past the tower was still active.

I'm not entirely sure if it was this episode so don't quote me on it.
