Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
I'd like to know what happened to Anthea after she was kidnapped. I don't remember that ever being addressed. Also, I agree with Soul, the idiots that came to arrest Jeremie couldn't possibly be from the same organization that tried to kill Franz, they were far too incompetent.
Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Mabye the govrmnt has a specl tranng corse to tech you how to pretnd to be relly dumb...lol...
Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Didn't the suits who went after Jeremie work for the French FBI? I thoughts that what one of them said. I think maybe the actual MIB who went after Hopper were some kind of hit man, like an assassin hired by the original makers of Carthage after Hopper went rouge.
Does that make any sense. ^^;
And the weird thing about Aelita's hair....her mom had pink hair too...maybe she was accidently exposed to a chemical during her husband's experiments that altered her DNA or something? Or......like you guys said earlier it could just be influenced by good ol' anime....^^;

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
They never said who they worked for. Actually, I believe the line was, "Even we do not know who we really are" XD
Their voices are kinda funny, I think they were actually both put through filters, because they sound exactly the same as in the French version. The guy with lighter hair yeah, that was obviously filtered, but the dark-skinned one not so much.
As for Anthea's hair, I read a fic where that happened. That she was helping to get the scanners working and her red hair turned pink, then got passed down to their daughter. But Franz didn't seem to have any work on his shoulders before Anthea was kidnapped and they moved to Paris, so I'm not sure if it fits into the timeline.

And I know exactly who wrote that fic. It's a friend of mine and shark's called rjrouquette. He's a really smart guy, and pretty much excels at anything he tries to do. He only posted that fanfiction on a site of another friend of mine's too.A_QueenOfFairys wrote:As for Anthea's hair, I read a fic where that happened. Because he's the emo mystery man!!! XD
Kidding...well, he is a mystery man...he's just a guarded guy. Hard to blame him, really, when his father is so stinkin' controling and judgemental. ^^;

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
I cannot for the life of me remember the site Aeon's talking about (though I did read it on there) but here's the FF.net link. He also started rewriting it here but only got up to chapter 3, it seems.Soul_Jelly wrote:AeonFrodo wrote:And I know exactly who wrote that fic. It's a friend of mine and shark's called rjrouquette. Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Thanks very much!
Antea's pink hair has never really needed an explanation to me. There are characters with blue/teal/purple hair in the CL-verse so it's a rarity, but not an impossible occurrence, or so it seems.

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
I think the hair can just be chalked up to it being a kids show.
Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Maybe so, but it was a pretty detailed, somewhat realistic kid's show. They had so many realistic aspects that Aelita, Anthea and Odd's [headcanon: that's his natural colour] unusual hair colours were somewhat strange.
Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
You're right!! Remeber in XANA Awakens, when Ulrich first sees Aelita?
He's all "who's the girl with Pink hair, is this a video game?" Just the way he says it makes it seem that such hair color is NOT normal in their world either. ^^; Who else has werid hair? I don't remeber....

He may have askd if it was a vido game basd on ther surrndngs, not just basd on Alita's har...
Didn't Willem's mom have grensh blue har?

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Yeah, she did. And at least one of the DJs Aelita was competing against for the Subdigitals had greenish hair (I always assumed it was dyed though, because they're DJs? XD). Plus Odd's mum, with hers being purple-ish. That was a nice touch with his hair being purple too :'D
And I guess you can count Sam with her red streaks.

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Sam's hair was probably dyed. I know plenty of girls who only dye streaks.
I don't know what to think of Odd's purple splotch...
As for William and his mother...well, in traditional Japanese animes, many characters have different-colored hair such as dark-purple, dark-green, etc. because Japan is an area where the typical hair color is black, and seeing the same color/shade of black all over the place in their animes is boring. The colorization makes them more distinguishable from each other without being overwhelmingly the different color.
Aelita does not dye her hair. Or at least, if she does, she has to find some kind of way to dye her eyebrows too, which is generally not recommended at all because the dyes can get into your eyes which leads to a host of problems. There are, of course, people who do it anyway.
Odd's mom's hair probably /is/ dyed. It kind of suits the overall style of the family.
Now I want to know: What happened during the attacks at the swimming pool and the gym (as alluded to in "Crash Course")?

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Vena came up with some relly good answrs in her one shot collctn...
Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Why do the kids learn geometry (a highschool class) when they are junior high-ers. Unless they are in their sophomore year when Aelita asks about the angle of the hypotenuse. Lol.
And what exactly is a polymorphic clone made out of? Is Xana not only a computer, but something spiritual or paranormal? What's with the black smoke?
QUESTIONS!

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Well, I don't know how French school is organzied, but it's possible it's just a general math class. I know we covered the pythagorean (sp) thereom in seventh grade, and they might go a bit in depth. Or the creators just wanted to throw something up that sounded smart.
Though now I'm really wondering about the polymorphic clone thing...that's definitely odd.

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Yeah, they have a general maths class. They would've been in either year 8 or year 9 at that point (Xana Awakens made the timeline very confusing), and I dunno about the French system, but I was learning geometry by then. I at least knew what a hypotenuse was.
As for spectres, I have no idea. I always pictured it as some gooey stuff but that doesn't explain how it can go through walls. But there was also evidence of people not being able to see them, so maybe they were just invisible...electrical clouds or something.

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Hmm we can rule out people not seeing them, because of the William Clone.
IDK........
maybe it's one of those "only exists in code lyoko universe" things....like the scanners.
added:
The more I think about it, the more I realize that there's no way Xana is JUST a computer program.
Think about it.....
he can control gas
he's represented by this weird black smoke...
he can animate objects
...
Does THAT sounds like something a computer program can do?

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
I figure the clones are a different type of spectre. Then there's polymorphic ones.
It is meant to be fictional, but Xana is meant to be a really, really advanced program. One that learns from past experiences [like Cleverbot, if you need a real life example]. But I can see some of the things Xana does working. For example possession, Xana controls electrical signals, which is also how the brain functions. By manipulating these signals in the brain it can control someone.
And the gas, by sending out a sort of electrically charged cloud it can capture the particles in a certain area and move them around.
There's still the question of how the electrical 'clouds' themselves are moved, but I can see most of Xana's attacks working in my head.
