The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
There probably already is a topic about this but here it goes. It's a topic to discuss the many mysteries, questions, etc. that were never explained during the show, that(hopefully) will be explained in Season 5.
Who do the Men In Black work for?In one episode they say they work for "The most secret part of the government. The president doesn't even know we exist." and "We're so secret,we don't even know who we work for" or something like that.If they don't know who they work for,how do we know they work for the government?Who knows, they might work for a really rich person that has nothing to do with the government. And what's their job anyway?I know you guys probably don't know, but I'd like to hear some theories.

We have loads of different topics that each have a specific question - but I think it would probably be a lot easier if we moved them all into one big topic.

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Dress coded? Oh, as in caught by a teacher for wearing midriff-revealing clothes? Well Sissi's obvious because she's the principal's daughter. But I'm pretty sure that kind of thing isn't against the French dress code. I haven't even heard of them having one.
Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
Kadic? A school with a dress code? Never.

If anything, even if they had a dress code, it could be like the one at my school, i.e. no one enforces it and no one actually knows what it is.

I like that. I now want to write a story where a new student arrives at Kadic, and Odd is assigned to show him around. And Odd tells him about all the complex rules that make his head a splode.

For the Dress Code!
I don't like girls showing their belly and my mind thinks they are sults. Aelita is the most weirdest of all. Pink hair in Jr high school? that really strange and don't you think that her hair is on fire? just my thoughts and sorry to harm this pink girl

I wanted to explain culture differences and that what you may think is unacceptable may be normal to other people, but I will just LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLkittypaw wrote:For the Dress Code!

@Felin: Don't mean to be rude, but... if you don't like girls flashing their stomachs, why do you have a sig with Sissi doing just that?

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
With Aelita's hair, it might be because she was originally planned to be a virtual being - an actual AI, not a human. I don't think that was in the plan until Moonscoop took over.
And not everyone who wears belly-revealing clothes is a slut, Felin. You can't go around saying that, especially to people in real life, willy-nilly. It can be offensive because people view the image of a slut in different ways. For me a slut is someone who's openly seductive and flirtatious and are practically begging for sex. Yumi and Sissi? No way. Those two are not sluts, they just like dressing like that and there's nothing wrong with it.
...unless it's against your religion, which doesn't seem to exist in CL. So they're fine.
Dictionary definition, "Slut or slattern is a pejorative term applied to an individual who is considered to have loose sexual morals or who is sexually promiscuous."
Like I said, they're not parading around looking for sex, so they're not sluts. Not to mention the rest of their body is sufficiently covered ._.
Sorry to ramble, but stuff like this where girls get called something they're not has led people to suicide, so I feel rather strongly about it.

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
ok people enough about the dress code!!!!!!!
now back to the first question, I belive that the men in black work for who ever is behind project cathage (project carthage has something to do with enimy communications, and Hopper wanted it gone, so he created XANA). The men in black are the reason Franz Hopper and Aelite went to lyoko in the first place, to try to ecscape. Then Hopper had some problems with XANA, causing Aelite to be trapped in that one tower in, I belive the forest sector, until Jeremy turned the super computer back on.

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a s1ut [this was censored? ] - shaming anyone (and let's face it, it's purely women who are being shamed here) for their sexual choices or their clothing choices is misogynist and oppressive, plain and simple.
But on topic:
I don't think the MIB who showed up to arrest Jérémie (was it False Lead?) are the same as the ones who chased Franz Hopper. Just throwing that out there for one.
I'm rather fixed on the idea that they are an obscure branch of the government myself, but I also like the idea that they're not, and just introduce themselves as being with the government to cover up the fact that what they're doing isn't exactly legit. Some old rich person out there funding them secretly to pursue whatever weird projects they have going on.
As for their actual purpose; not sure, other than to hunt down Franz. Which then raises the question of... why?

1) He has destroyed Project Carthage and they're out for revenge
2) He intended to destroy the project, but the MIB wouldn't allow it so therefore he had to go into hiding, bringing his family along, and finding a way to destroy it himself (which ended up being XANA and Lyoko)

Re: The many unsolved questions of Code Lyoko
It doesn't stand for anything, someone said on Lyoko Decoded that it's just a word and doesn't have a meaning.
It was most likely just derived from Xanadu, since Xanadu would be a weird name for a virus rather than a place.
