"Jim" is actually an alias for a whole group of brown haired, middle aged men. It is a secret government program to dispatch special agent "Jims" to areas of interest to make sure that the situation doesn't go tits up.

"Jims" are specially trained in all tasks, and must be proficient in many different fields, but under government oath are sworn to secrecy.

Jim #582- M is the "Jim" dispatched to ensure the protection of the SuperComputer, and is thus suspicious of the activities of odd people, like the Lyoko Gang.

*nods head* I think I got this one figured out. I know all about the "Jim" program.

Has anybody on this topic seen XANA Awakens? While Ulrich is having martial arts lessons with Yumi, Jim tells them a story about his life. Ulrich replies that he'd be better off not talking about it. This is what I think started it.

I love that scne! You're right, that is what strtd it in the show, but I'd hope that Jim wasn't alwys tormntd by a bever...even thogh that wold be prtty funny...

Kadic is actually a virtual world, and Lyoko is a virtual world in a virtual world. The Engineers of the original virtual world have sent in Jim to make sure that no one learns that everything is virtual.

And he doesn't talk about it because he CAN'T talk about it to accomplish his duty.

My own private crackpot theory is that Jim is a CIA agent and he's been sent there to keep an eye on the kids. Because, yes, for some reason the CIA knows what the LWs are doing and aren't intervening.

Jim Morales is actually Ulrich form the future. He returned to the past in his adult form in order to make sure that the gang succeeds in stopping X.A.N.A., ensuring the post-apocalyptic world dominated by robots that he came from will never come to pass.

His stories can't be shared because if he does he might give away the fact that Ulrich knows those stories as well, proving him a time traveler!

Maybe he got plastic surgery to disguise his appearance after accidentally witnessing a crime?

My take on Jim: He's the only one with complete Medium Awareness. He's entirely aware of his fictional existence within the story of Code Lyoko but if he acknowledges it the very fabric of the universe as he knows it will collapse. In order to distract himself from falling into madness, and also to keep anyone from guessing the truth, he invents all of these stories.

...that's it! He should be a pineapple on Lyoko and his defense would be shooting those sharp things on the outside of the pineapple. And it could also act as a defense, since pineapples have sharp skin. I mean, really, what better outfit for Jim than a pineapple. I bet that's what his secret ambition is too: to be the very best pineapple like no one ever was. Cool
