Re: Weekly 100 Word Drabble Challenge!

I'm going to be very entrometido (random spanish vocab, yeah!) right now. Basically, Shadows (the lovely admin of this equally lovely forum) will post a new prompt/theme/stuff you have to include, and you write a hundred word drabble to it. There's no sign up. You can find the weekly drabble prompt and post your drabble here. You only write for the ongoing prompt, though sometimes she has a make up week where you try to make up a/ny drabble/s you didn't get to before. This thread is for the discussion of the drabbles.

Go here and click on 'New Topic'. Title your topic appropriately (e.g. Cya6's Intro — though you can title it whatever you want) and then just write a little blurb about yourself so we can get to know you!

So, is there a current challenge, or should I wait until you post the next one?

The current prompt is Lost. You can either find it on the page before this or the first page of the topic "100 Word Drabbles." The topic is your best bet because it always displays the current drabble while going back in this thread may make you miss something. New drabbles are usually posted on Friday (or Saturday, if I'm late). Though the new drabble for next week will be posted tomorrow night (early, but you can still participate in Lost until Friday ends) because I'm not going to be on Friday to do so.

I hope that was clear, sometimes I talk in circles.

Yup, goes right there! You can also read through the old drabbles from previous weeks there. It's like a whole conglomeration of good writing — you might even recognise some names from FFN.

And I have to say, I really like your drabble. I'm forever a fan of darker writing, so it was really fun for me to read. :D I also liked the realism of it. Because let's face it. Jeremie is just a badass at the computer, and the others are not so...much. P: It is a depressing thought though, to think of any of the LWs lost forever. And for Jeremie to be conscious for all of it (I thought you implied that, anyway), that sounds even more horrible. All in all, nice drabble!

(seriously, the prompt 'lost' should be enough for anyone to think up the most depressing premise ever and just run with it)

Glad you got all of it! I agree, and since I usually write darker fics, it's not exactly hard to make Lost dark and depressing.

And Cya, I liked your drabble a lot as well, the sort of kick in your face forlorn mood is one of my favorite things to read/write. And Jay, I can't wait to read it!

“Really?”


“Yeah!” Aelita turned around and proudly displayed a small
green plant.


“Great job, Aelita.” Jeremy shifted on his knees so he was
facing her and suddenly found himself directly in front of a pink-cheeked face.
Before he had a chance to comment, the girl leaned forward and gave him a quick
peck on the lips.


“Odd said that people are supposed to kiss when they find a
four leaf clover…” She trailed off with a small smile, her pink blush not
nearly competing with Jeremy’s red one. “So, are we lucky now?”


“Well, I know I am…”
