I don't think any of us do. Just add horses and some guns, throw in some alcohol, maybe a Mexican Stand-Off, and there are some other thing that you can add that push the boundaries of political corectness. But still, whatever you want.

My first thought was a bar scene, but I seem to have been writing a lot of things that start with characters in bars lately. Not that I'm anti-alcohol or anything, but I'd rather not have drinking as a main recurring theme in my stories.

I finally came up with something for this (got out of bed to write it even XD) and it incorporated one of my favourite seldom-used characters. Yay! I honestly really enjoyed this challenge. Definitely one of my favourites so far for forcing me to think outside the box and stretch my imagination a bit.

I played more on "standoffish" than "standoff" but I think the drabble goes with the prompt anyway.

That was really good Snickie. Very creepy, and convincing as a nightmare. Not to mention that's exactly the kinda dream they'd have.

I really felt bad for poor Aelita.

I used the best inspiration that I could get for this drabble: a 2-hour nap! During which I dreamed about some weird crossover between Hunger Games, Code Lyoko (Jeremie and Aelita were in it), and real life. It was really weird. But it gave me enough material to Aelitate it (I just made up a new word!). It took about ten, fifteen minutes to write. So for that to have an impact on people is pretty awesome. Thank you so much, Cya!

Oh wow, that was epic, Snickie. I adore fics with surreality as a theme and the nightmare images here are super creepy. Like Cya said, that's exactly the kind of thing Aelita would have nightmares about. It incorporates all of her fears; losing her friends, the wolves, XANA and its monsters and, interestingly, Lyoko.


For my own drabble this week, I was surprised to realise I hadn't written anything with Clone!William yet, so here goes. This needs editing but I just wanted to get the idea down.

Vena, yours sounds a lot like it could go directly alongside mine. I'm not sure if it would come before or after, since you start with the scream and end with the sending of nightmares. It's like, super awesomely cool in that sense. Maybe you didn't mean it to be this way, but having my drabble in the back of my mind while reading yours added some dimension to both of them. Just...wow.
