Pending a potential complete SC overhaul for which the details are still being discussed, I figured it'd be cool to still have something to work on to encourage friendly sectorly competition.  With that, I'm announcing the next two contests.

Song Parodies
Begin Date: 15 June 2013
End Date: 29 June 2013.  This is a two-week challenge.
Challenge: You've all heard of Weird Al Yankovic, right?  (If not, go look up some of his stuff on YouTube.)  He's a master of writing and recording parodies of famous songs.  Now you can be too!  All you need to do is pick a song and rewrite the lyrics so that it fits into the Code Lyoko universe while still being recognizably parallel to the original song.  All entries are subject, of course, to the language filters of this forum.
Awards:
1st - 5 season points
2nd - 3 season points
3rd - 2 season points
Any sector/team which does not submit a parody on time will lose 4 points.

Yes, it's back!  And announced early so all you lovely folks can start planning your story.  But remember: don't actually write anything until the official start date. 
Begin Date: 1 July 2013
End Date: 31 July 2013
Rules:

• You must have at least 25,000 words, not including author's notes, written and published by the end of the month.
  
• It should be one story, but you can divide it into a story and its sequel(s) if you want to.  That means don't write 250 drabbles about anything and everything, though if through 250 different 100-word drabbles is how you want to tell your cohesive story (similar to how I did in Xana's Olympics), have at it. 
  
• Three plot devices/twists will be released throughout the month which you must incorporate into your story.
  
• In case this wasn't obvious, the story should be about Code Lyoko in some form or fashion.  Alternate universes, self-insertions, future generation cast, alternate season 5, just about everything is accepted.
  

Awards:
To everybody who completes the challenge 20 CP will be awarded.
To every sector from which one or more entries are submitted 10 season points will be awarded.
The sector with the most entries will receive a 15 season point bonus.

If you are not currently part of a sector, you can sign up in a recruitment thread or go the challenges solo and submit stuff just because you think it's fun.  (But I recommend joining a sector anyway, as it's a great way to get to know some of the people here! ^_^ )
