Like how Ulrich/William are probably rivals in love kind of sort of depends on where yumi's head is at.

But William would totally win in a fight!

I was loving the little bit of rivalry that Odd and William were having in Evolution personally. Though William and Ulrich's rivalry has always been fun too.

I kind of like the William / Ulrich rivalry, but sometimes it's annoying when Ulrich gets too do better than that or something. But then again, William is almost always like that, too.

Also the Aelita/ Laura rivalry is driving me crazy in Evolution. It's just annoying to me how Laura butted in so quickly.

Tbh, I doubt Laura's really looking for a relationship with Jeremie, though ofc that's just my take on it. I think she has terrible social skills, which causes her to be easily manipulated (by her father). This leads to her being super offensive to Aelita and "coming on to" Jeremie simultaneously. Like, I think she's really intelligent, but pretty stunted in terms of social skills and norms.

...Not that I'd be able to or even willing to give someone the benefit of doubt like that irl so I'm not sure if I can blame the group for disliking her so, but imo in the show, it's quite easy to see that her social skills just plain /suck/.

In the previous seasons, I loved the banter between Sissi and Odd, and that was one of my favourite rivalries. Not a very intense rivalry, but a fun one nevertheless!

Yeah, Sissi vs. Odd was always really fun to watch xD Why'd it have to end after only 4 seasons?

Ikr ;~; I'm so sad that they just cut Sissi out of the show like that. Laura made the show really interesting, but I was really hoping for Sissi to become part of the group and watch her banter with Odd (and it would've been interesting to see if she ever got over Ulrich, because you'd think she'd mature a little). It would've been fun to even see if they got over their rivalry, and she really integrated herself in the group. I've always wanted to see her character develop more!

Yeah me too! Actually, Sissi was almost like, a main character in the original series, so we really got to know her. But in Evolution she only came up about two or three times! I was really looking forward to her rivalry with Yumi for Ulrich. I always thought it was interesting to watch in the classic series, but I was a bit down when it wasn't in Evo.

Omg yeah, she almost was like a main character...we got to see her interact with the group, and she even had her own side story sometimes (and with her own posse of Herve and Nicolas and everything, haha). And SERIOUSLY. What was with taking away their rivalry and making Sissi disappear like that?! I didn't like the rivalry between Laura and Aelita because I found it really forced...there didn't have to be a rivalry between them (and I would've loved to see them bond tbh). There was already an existing and super interesting rivalry between Sissi and Yumi that would've had so many snarky lines and everything...

All in all I still like Evo. People seem to hate on it but I think they did a good job. One of my personal favorite rivalries is the one between Herve and Jeremie, I wanted to see that come back.

There are definitely good and bad things about it. I don't want to get into spoilers (though I guess I should come to terms with the fact that it's over now, so they're not spoilers anymore), but I did like the group dynamic in CLE. I also loved the animation. There were some things changed I didn't really like, such as the towers and some of the drama.

Yesss. There were a lot of minor characters I liked, and Herve and Jeremie's rivalry was a part of it. I also miss Milly and her crush on Ulrich. Not that she and Yumi were ever rivals since she's younger/Yumi discounted her, but that would've been fun to see too!

HAHA yeah, I don't know really though, Milly and Tammy kind of annoyed me. I hate nosy people so they just got on my nerves. You're absolutely right, the group dynamic in CLE is really good and the animation is amazing, they got a lot better with facial expressions (especially in the animation) and I always love watching the expressions on their faces during their time in Lyoko, some of them are just priceless. Like this one.

(crap, can anyone find the picture of Aelita with a "seriously" facial expression and the caption is "Cool story bro, no please continue."

I actually like the rivalry between Alita & Lara. I don’t think they truly hate each other. They just don’t trust each other, & I think it’ll be interesting to see them forced to work together…

As far as the Aelita/Laura rivalry goes, I wouldn't really be bothered by it that much if Jeremie actually noticed it was going on. Occasionally he'll be way to matter of factual and continually hurts Aelita's feelings by asking Laura to do something she would normally do.

It kind of makes sense that he doesn’t realize what’s happening. I don’t think Jeremy has ever thought of himself as a guy that girls would fight over…

Yeah, he probably thinks they just don't get along because of each other, the fact that jealousy for him could be causing it probably never, ever crosses his mind.
