Re: The Murder and the Psychic
I feel like the chaos emerald is a really obvious clue, but it makes me think of Enzo, so at least there's a start. Technically the murderer and psychic aren't supposed to be MIA for long periods of time like Enzo is, but that's all I have for now.

Re: The Murder and the Psychic
Maybe they got murderered or voted out? I have to admit, I haven't seen many clues from anyone. o.o But then again, being the psychic is kind of tricky because you want to give good clues but not too good clues otherwise the murderer will come after you.
Orrrr the psychic could be one of those inactive people in which case we won't find out until the end of the game. It'd be a shame though! I always like to guess when the psychic is/was offed.

Re: The Murder and the Psychic
(I'm sorry that this one's so short, but I wanted to get it updated before I went to Spain, since I won't be online for like a week. Yea, this one isn't great. but nonetheless, it is an update )
Enzo 2
Kay 1
Cats 1
Cya
Y2k
Kelly
Stella
“A what?” cya asked looking at Cats.
“A chaos emerald....” Enzo trailed off, “judging by what it said, I'm assuming that's a 'jewel containing the ultimate power!'”
Cats nodded and Enzo turned to the screen and began typing something.
“What are you doing?” Kay asked trying to look over his shoulder and see the screen.
“Typing in chaos emerald, I mean maybe that's how we get in,” he mumbled, “'a jewel with the ultimate power' to get into the room with the main power supply, it makes sense.”
Everyone just nodded in response and watched as Enzo typed in the last letters and the door slid open almost immediately. The big generator in the middle of the room stood out from the rest of its surroundings as Enzo shone the torch light in there.
“Well I guess that's it,” Kelly said and was the first of the inmates to go into the big, mechanical room.
“It's one thing that we've found the generator, “ Stella began looking around the room, “but do any of us actually know how to get it working again?”
“Weren't you fixing the TV with Atlas earlier Y2k?” Cya asked.
Y2k shook his head in response, “I wasn't actually fixing it, I just helped move the TV back.”
“Oh,” Cya said as silence fell on the group.
Enzo, who really just wanted the electricity back on, spoke up, “I could have a look at it, but it'll get pretty dark in here since I'll need to torch to see the generator.”
“That'll be fine,” Cats nodded, “everyone's ok with being in the dark for a bit right?”
The group nodded in response with the universal mumbles of 'yeah that's fine.'
“All right,” Enzo said and set to work on trying to bring light back to the asylum.
“I don't see why we should have a problem with being in the dark,” Kay sighed, “it's been like this for ages now.”
“Yea,” Stella nodded though no one could see her, “I really wanted to finish that book.”
“What was the book you were reading anyway?” Cya asked, “ooh wait, it was that one you were talking about in Rai's office right?”
“No,” Stella said only now remembering about the strange book, “I wanted to show everyone it but then I...” Stella stopped as a loud cash echoed through the room, she mumbled, “...got interrupted.”
“ENZO!” Kelly shouted, “be careful!”
Another sound drifted to the ears of the inmates, this one was horrible. A sickening almost squelching sound came and what sounded like tired, short breaths.
“Ah yeah, this is happening,” a voice, almost too quiet to hear whispered.
“E-Enzo...” Kay muttered as the lights suddenly flashed on.
The same feeling seemed to settle on the group as the image of one of their fellow inmates lifeless body was shown before them. There was Y2k, his body impaled on one of the mean rusty, old metal pipes that stuck oddly out of the walls. It was now clear who the tired, short breaths came from, they were the last breaths of Y2k.
“Why does this keep happening?” Stella whispered.
“W-well,” Cats stuttered after a small silence, “at least we've got the power back now, right Enzo?”
But no voice was heard. The inmates went to the other side of the generator where Enzo was once stood, but nothing was there. Just a torch and nothing more.
Voting ends Thursday 25th October since that's when I get back.

That's all that's left. Just the five of us.
So seriously, I think it's Cats. I don't know, it just doesn't feel like ANYone else is the murderer. These clues are so confusing. I miss Snickie's straw grasping.
Here comes for more wild speculation from me, though. Alright, I'm thinking about the psychic. I went back to the very first time we voted. There are four options. 1: Legend was was the psychic and died before he could ever vote. 2: The psychic didn't vote. 3: The psychic did vote, but not for the murderer. 4: The psychic voted for the murderer.
3 seems unlikely. 1 is possible, though unlikely. 2 is also possible.
If 4 is correct, then the murderer is Kelly.
That's a completely random line of thinking.
That being said, I was looking back at past voting. The only people who have been voted for in the past have been me, Cats, and Kelly. But I don't have faith in our (probably dead) pyschic. They were pretty useless.
So onto clues. Eh... I don't know. The notes, maybe it's an author. Who here is an author? Also the line about being here for so long. Who's been here the longest?
Anyone got any input? We're getting dangerously low on people, we kinda need to vote out the murderer on this round.
If not, we're down to three people...

Re: The Murder and the Psychic
Has there been an M&P where the murderer wins?
If not, this might be the first.
If not, this might be the first.
Re: The Murder and the Psychic
The first time Enzo hosted, I was the murderer, and I successfully got away with it! And I know either Kitty or Rena got away with it, since there was a game ending when I first joined.
Hahaha, I've been here the longest of us four/five, so I guess that points to me. o.o
And I feel like metal and mechanical things keep on being mentioned. And video game-ish stuff.
I either voted for VG or Enzo last time. I've suspected VG on and off, but I know that Enzo loves video games (coughPORTALcough) and that sort of stuff.

Re: The Murder and the Psychic
Yeah, same. I think that's why the clues were so confusing (probably only to me lol because I'm just special like that ). I kept on trying to relate them to someone really active, that posted a lot, etc. VG's active, but not like super active, so I kept on skipping over him. I also thought it would be about well-known really obvious facts, but I'm pretty sure that's just me being obtuse. (and it's not that the video game stuff isn't well-known about VG; I just think about cats whenever I think of him, go figure)
I seriously wonder what happened to the psychic though. It's tough being the psychic because you have to try to hint something, but if you hint it too well, the murderer finds out and off with your head! But if you don't do it well enough, you run the risk of no one thinking of who the murderer is. That's why I've personally stay away from being the psychic...I'd probably be too obvious or not obvious enough. Or, knowing my luck, I'd be voted out or killed off early off in the game.

Re: The Murder and the Psychic
(Ahhhhh why is this one so long D: seriously I swear it was really short, then boom 3 pages!)
Cats 3
Kay
Kelly
Cya
Stella
“We finally get the power back and now this,” Kelly said picking up Enzos torch, “we loose two more of us.”
“But that's been happening for a while now,” Stella muttered, her voice bitter, “we get down here, two of us go, we search Rais office, two of us go, it just keeps happening.”
“One of them doesn't just disappear, one of them is always murdered,” Cya stated, “I don't know about the others though, they do just disappear.”
“Ya know, we all seem to be missing one key point of this, I can understand why we ignored it at the beginning, I mean there was such a big group of us, it was hard to tell who it was, “ Kay started, “but now there's only five of us, Enzo's just disappeared and Y2k has just been killed, meaning that one of the five of us is the murderer.”
Silence fell upon the small group as each inmate looked to another, eyes accusing and full of hatred, but also hurt, questioning why they'd kill their friends.
“I guess you're right,” Cats whispered looking down, “what should we do?”
More silence followed. There really wasn't a logical answer, the killer obviously wasn't going to suddenly step forward and say 'I did it!'
“Nothing,” Cyas voice brought the others out of their almost trance like states, “nothing, we just go back up there, find everyone else and hope that with everyone in the asylum together, the killer wont strike again.”
“Like that'll stop them,” Kelly muttered.
“Well do you have any suggestions?” Cya asked but there was no answer, “didn't think so. The sooner we get back up there the better, all this broken glass makes it easier for the killer to strike,” she started to walk out the door of the generator room.
“You sure seem to know a lot about what the killer would do,” Stella mumbled walking past Cya out of the door.
“It's always the quiet ones,” Cya shouted after her, “the quiet one that sits in the corner reading a book, one day they snap and start killing people. Who does that remind you of?”
“But the ones who start yelling wild accusations are usually trying to cover up something they know they can't,” Kay smirked.
“But I wasn't the one who was stood right next to the art supplies and the pillows when Shade was asphyxiated and had writing in red paint above him,” Cya smirked back, “that was you, in case you'd forgotten.”
“And in case you'd forgotten, I was at the opposite end of the room when Legend was murdered, but you and Kelly were conveniently right next him,” she countered.
“But didn't Cya just say that it's always the quiet ones,” Kelly stated, deciding to join the conversation since she'd just been accused, “you don't really say a lot do you?”
Kay was about to yell back another accusation when Cats spoke up.
“If you're all done playing detective, I thought you might like to know that Stella's already walked ahead, 'she might be waiting to kill us,'” he joked in mock fear before walking down the corridor, quickly followed by the three girls.
“Well what about you Cats?” Kelly asked breaking the silence that seemed to keep settling on the inmates, “who do you think the murderer is?”
Th boy just shrugged, “dunno, but making wild accusations and being paranoid will only lead to chaos.”
No one really said anything after that, the others knew he was right but they still couldn't help but make theories about who the murderer was, they wanted to know who killed their friends and they wanted revenge.
After what felt like an eternity of walking thanks to the silence, Cats suddenly stopped, causing the three girls behind him to bump into one another.
“Hey!” Kay yelled.
“It wasn't me it Kelly!” Cya shouted.
“No, Cats was the one who stopped,” Kelly said defending herself.
“Hey Stella,” Cats greeted the girl sat down at the foot of the ladder, completely ignoring the others behind him, “why didn't you go up the ladder?”
She sighed putting her book down, “I figured that I'd just get accused of being the murderer again if I went up first so I decided to wait.”
“Makes sense,” he shrugged looking up the ladder, “so who wants to go first?”
“Whoever goes first is obviously the murderer,” Cya said crossing her arms, “they'll get to the top and then kill us one by one as we get up there.”
“No,” Kelly shook her head, “the person who goes last will be the murderer because they can kill the person who goes up before them without the others noticing.”
“Wrong,” Kay butted in, “they would go second, then when we were near the top, they'd kill the person in front of them, and then the one below them and let them fall and the fall from that height would kill the remaining two.”
Stella just sighed and stood up, “look I'll go first and I don't care if you accuse me of being the murderer, I just want to get back up to the main part of this place.” She then started going up the ladder, not bothered by the fact that no one was following her up and that they were all just staying down there, arguing about who should go next.
“I'll go next,” Kay sighed putting her foot on the ladder, “no one else seems very keen on the idea.”
“Wait,” Cya said, “you said that the murderer would want to go second so I don't think you should go next.”
“Fine then,” she got off the ladder and motioned for Cya to get on it, “you go.”
Cya started to climb up the ladder and towards the top part of the asylum, staying on high alert just in case Stella was waiting for her at the top.
“Can I go up now?” Kay asked and looked at the other two who nodded, “good,” she got on the ladder and followed Cya up it.
“So do you want to go next or shall I?” Kelly asked looking at Cats.
“You can if you want,” he shrugged.
“Are you sure because I really wouldn't want to be down here alone,” she said but Cats just shook his head, so Kelly got on the ladder. She was a few steps up when she looked down, “Stella left her book, “ she started to go back down the ladder but Cats stopped her.
“I'll get it,” he said and Kelly just continued up the ladder, completely missing the moment when Cats picked up something next to Stellas book and not the book itself.
It was almost pitch black going up the ladder and Kelly tried to focus on getting to the top rather than the fact that she couldn't see anything. She slowly started to move her foot to the next step when she felt something clench around it, in a tight, unbreakable grip. She gasped and looked down, she squinted in an attempt to see what it was.
“Oh it's just you Cats,” she sighed in relief when she realised who it was, “did you loose your balance?”
Cats didn't answer, he didn't say a word, all he did was jump back off of the ladder and pull Kelly down with him. As her fingers lost their grip of the ladder, Kelly screamed.
Cya and Kay both stopped in their tracks when they heard the scream.
“T-that was Kelly wasn't it?” Cya stuttered as she and Kay started to go down the ladder as fast as they could.
Kay nodded before shouting, “STELLA! Kelly's in trouble!”
“You think she'll come down?” Cya asked, “I mean she'll probably think it's a trap.
Kay just shrugged and the two continued to go down the ladder, as fast as they could, “aright, I think we're near the bottom now, I'm gonna jump.”
Cya paused but then sighed, “fine, just be careful when you get down there and tell me when you do so I can jump too.”
“All right,” she nodded and then jumped. It wasn't long before a small thud could be heard and she shouted up the ladder as Cya jumped too.
When they got to the bottom, Cya and Kay both saw Cats about to kill Kelly with one of the many shards of glass that lie scattered at their feet. In a moment of quick thinking, Cya grabbed the book Stella had been reading, ran up to Cats and smashed it round his head, knocking him unconcious.
“That is one heavy book,” Kay mumbled as Stella appeared at the bottom of the ladder.
“What the...” she trailed off seeing Cya smack Cats over the head with her book.
“Cats was the one who'd been doing all of this,” Cya hissed dropping the book onto his head, “he was about to kill Kelly when we got down here.”
“I told you it would be the person who went up last,” Kelly said regaining composure, she looked at Cats before looking at the others, “what should we do with him?”
“We could just leave him down here and let him starve,” Stella suggested as she cautiously picked up her book.
Kay shook her head, “no there's every chance he''l turn the power off or try and get back up the ladder, I think we should just kill him and leave him down here.”
“Who should do it?” Kelly whispered after no one objected to the idea.
Cya simply picked up a shard of glass and quickly slashed across the top of his leg, making sure to cut into the artery, “he'll bleed to death in a matter of seconds,” she muttered dropping the glass to the ground.
“Well I guess that takes care of Cats...” Kelly said, “but what about the other bodies that are just laying around the asylum?”
“3 of them, including Cats, are down here,” Kay said, “another 3 are either in Rais office or the Rec room, we could always put them down here.”
“It could work,” Stella mused looking up the ladder, “I mean maintenance doesn't get done very often does it?”
Kelly shook her head, “not that I'm aware of.”
“Good,” Cya said, “then it's settled, we'll put the other bodies down here and by the time someone's next down here, they'll be rotting and we'll be long gone from this place.”
They all nodded in agreement and set to work on getting the other bodies down there and burying everything that had happened to them.

____
We are in an asylum, were you expecting a normal ending Anyway, yea it's all over, this was really fun to do I thnk I might host another M&P at some point
Murderer: Cats
Psychic: Snickie
Re: The Murder and the Psychic
YEAH!!!!
I was right, oh yeah!!!
And SNICKIE was the psychic! I suspected it was her, cause she was one of the few who commented on every round.
So was Cats actually telling Kay who to kill, or was she making it up? Cause Cats seemed awful scarce during the game...
Also, kay, you have to tell us the hints, cause MAN that was hard!

Re: The Murder and the Psychic
That was hard, even for me. I don't know very much about Cats. I didn't get the thing about the metals until somebody else mentioned it, but by then I was dead so I couldn't comment on it.
You can't imagine how frustrated I was when I couldn't post my monster analyses anymore. I had to keep myself under suspicion or else Cats was going to kill me. But I guess I did too good of a job, and you guys did it instead. (I have no idea if Cats voted me off that round, btw.)
I don't know about you guys, but I kind of stalk the "ONLINE PLAYERS" tab. Cats was on almost everyday, so even though he didn't post much, that doesn't mean he wasn't in regular communication with Kay.

Snickie, you stalker you. <3 In all fairness, I guess it was hard to point to VG without making it obvious. When you don't know a lot about someone, then there's not much you can use. I mean, I didn't even guess him till the end because there started to be too many clues pointing towards video game-ish stuff, and the only person (besides Enzo) I could think of on that list was VG.
Yay! We caught him though! Nice job, VG, for making it so far.

Re: The Murder and the Psychic
Ahh yes the clues, the cryptic ones were given to me by Cats, but I put in some very subtle ones myself.
Part 1: nothing starts until you take action
Cats walked over to the group just before Legend died.
Part 2: 'If you have time to worry, then run.'
Cats was part of the conversation about art supplies and he was one of the only inmates not to say anything when it was dark and no one could see anything.
Part 3: 'Follow me if you want the truth.'
Cats was looking/glaring at Atlas when he said about the murderer and he also knew exactly what was wrong with Atlas.
Part 4: "As far back as I can remember, I've been living here in this dark asylum. Why, is it my fate? Destined to be here forever?"
Quotes from the Cheshire Cat and Cats was the last person to come over a look at where Snickie disappeared.
Part 5: "It all starts with this...a jewel containing the ultimate power!" The fact that Cats knew what it was called.
Part 6: “Ah yeah, this is happening,”
Again, Cats was the only one who didn't speak when it was dark because he too busy killing people.
Yea if I do this again, which hopefully I will, I need to get better with clues.

Re: The Murder and the Psychic
Wow, yeah, that WAS tough. It was the Chesire cat that made me think it was either Cats or Kitty. Turned out it was Cats!
I hope that we start the next one ASAP. Should someone message Shadows or somethin?

All of the clues were directly from / modified from Sonic games.
