Binary's Pov

We arrived at the hotel and were currently standing in front of two rooms next to each other. The first one had a better view of the beach, which was near the hotel while the other one faced the street. I turned around to ask the group but all I could find was Legend and Railen... apparently, the girls have already decided which room they will take.

We shook our heads in defeat and walked to the other room starting to unpack our stuff.

"I' m going out" Legend announced after a few minutes

"We've just arrived and you're going out already?" Railen questioned amusingly

"So what? I' m not going to waste my time in a hotel," Legend said heading for the door.

I sighed having already finished unpacking, I stared at the small table near the window. There was a chocolate cake and a small paper on the table. I read the paper "Welcome to Johannesburg". They must have put it a few minutes ago when we were in the lobby.

"We've a cake" I stated the obvious looking at Railen who was still unpacking, "I don't feel like eating anything" he replied.

I shrugged and put it in the small fridge, I am sure I will be hungry anytime soon. I was going to sleep when I heard a piercing scream from the other room; I jumped out of the bed and hurried to the door connecting the two rooms.

I heard a cry and felt someone trying to open the door, after a few seconds the door shot open revealing a very scared Snowy. I looked inside the room confusion overwhelming me, Stella and Shadows were kneeling on the ground while Lita was talking on the phone frantically.

“Um… what’s going on?” Railen asked behind me

Shadows moved from her position revealing the body of Kelly. She was sprawled on the ground, mouth slightly open and the leftover of something yellow was sticking out of her mouth.

“What happened?” I asked, terrified of something like that happening to us.

“She was poisoned; I was unpacking when I heard her mention something about a cake. I went to the bathroom for a second and when I came out I found her on the floor,” Shadows explained quickly. I gulped loudly thanking god that I have not touched our cake.

“I called the police,” Lita announced throwing her mobile on the nearest bed and covering her head.

“I don’t get it, why would someone in the hotel try to poison us,” Snowy asked

“We aren’t sure it was someone from the hotel, maybe it’s one of us,” Stella said eyeing everyone.

“We better wait for the police to investigate before we start accusing anyone” Railen tried to talk some sense.

20 minutes later

“So, you were with the victim during the accident” the officer asked Shadows. The group had been escorted to the police station where they started questioning them.

“Um, yea… I was with her, Snowy, Kelly and Lita. I heard her say something about a cake and then I went to the bathroom, she was on the floor when I came out” Shadows replied nervously.

“Thank you for your time, next” the officer called and Binary came to the room. “So, where were you during the accident?” the officer asked eyeing the clues he had gathered.

“I was with Railen and Legend, I found a cake but decided to eat it later… was it poisoned too?” Binary asked, trying to control his breathing.

“No, only the other one had poison. You mentioned someone else, Legend… where is he?” the officer asked, staring at Binary coldly.

“He told us that he’s going out minutes after we arrived. He was in the room with us though” Binary replied looking back at the door.

“Call him” the officer ordered giving Binary a phone. He dialed the number and listened to the ringing for 30 second before telling the officer that he probably forgot his phone or activated silent mode.

“We will reach him later, if he returned to the hotel it would be easier for both of us,” the officer told Binary in a cold tune. After questioning everyone, he decided to dismiss the group. He ordered them to stay in the country until they could find the murderer.

“What a day” the officer sighed looking at the clues.

Deadline: Monday29, same time. Only for this one cuz I waited for a couple days for everyone to be on. All the voting will be during a day for the coming murders.

Yea, I actually made the officer tell you the clues... can you get the murderer?

Okay, well, I am using my one last post here wisely, very wisely - I still get a last post for M&P Slim, right?

I THINK YOU GUYS SHOULD ALL VOTE FOR LEGEND. And if that doesn't work, STELLA. And then if that doesn't work, SNOWY. For the first one I was only joking [but if you want vote him out, I'm seriously not complaining], but the other two...I kindasortamaybe have crappy reasons for blaming them. But because my logic doesn't work in real world and only works nicely in my head, I can't really explain why I'm blaming them.

Well there; writing last posts are actually kinda fun. You can say anything without fear of repercussion or blame from the murderer.

The officer was looking at a small piece of paper that had the name of the two possible suspects:

Shadows
Binary

However, the clues were not good enough to point to either one of them so he could not do anything for now. After questioning Legend who came the other day after hearing the news when he returned to the hotel, he reached a dead end. All he could do for now is wait for the murderer to show himself.

Match day: Brazil vs. North Korea
Snowy’s POV

We cannot leave the country until they catch the murderer and I doubt we are going to be able to stay at the hotel for a whole month without going out. That is why we decided to take the bus downtown and do what any other tourist would do. It will help us relax. It was a match day obviously judging by the crowd of fans in the buses on their way to the stadium. I think Legend is on one of those since he woke up at seven in the morning and started blabbering about Brazil. I guess he is a fan.

The group was sitting in a café, discussing their plans for the day.

“How about we go shopping today?” Stella asked

“Why not enjoy the view or check the video game stores?” Binary said not liking the idea

“I say we go shopping, let’s vote!” Shadows said. “If you want shopping raise your hand”. Four hands and a few seconds later, the group was preparing for a long shopping trip while Railen and Binary were whining.

Binary’s Pov

After 30 minutes, Railen was already planning his escape. He excused himself to the bathroom and snuck to the video game store leaving me alone.

“Great… now what am I going to do” Binary said looking around the store. His phone started vibrating, startling him.

“Hey Binary, I’ m going to switch my phone to silent and I doubt that I’ll hear anything when the match starts. Any problems?”

“I can barely hear you, but no. we’re fine,” I said.

“Cool, cya in the hotel”

I closed my phone and went for the exit. I would inform them later that I had to go. It is not like I have to be here.

“Where did Railen go anyway?” I asked myself while opening the door of the bathroom. I stepped inside and tripped on something, falling on the ground.

“What the…Railen!” I shouted looking at the lifeless body. Railen was lying in the ground on his back. A small hole in his neck was barely visible but it was there. A sharp object must have done that. Behind him on the wall were five words written in blood. They looked familiar.

“The cake is a lie”

Railen was actually acting very suspicious again. He actually likes shopping, so he wouldn't try to escape. In fact, he only escapes from boring useless schooldays - so I think he comitted suicide.

Unlike most others, I'm not going to use my last post usefully and just let everyone keep guessing. ^^ The longer it lasts, the better it gets! And the harder it is for certain persons to get certain survival achievements. *evil laugh*

Lita’s POV

Railen was killed and Binary was the suspect. At least that is what they said when they took him. We were sitting in the lobby, no longer feeling safe around each other. First Kelly then Railen? The murderer has to be one of us. Of all the tourists from all over the world, isn’t it a bit weird that two of us were murdered?

“This is weird,” Snowy, said flipping the page. She was reading Binary’s diary and it had some interesting stuff judging by the look on her face.

“What is it?” Legend asked from his seat. His eyes were glued to the screen as he kept texting someone on his phone. Brazil had won, he was probably telling one of his friends about the game.

Snowy started to read “a trapdoor opens, I fall in, land on a moving platform heading into a fire pit, and a computerized voice says ‘All Aperture technologies remain safely operational up to 4000 degrees Kelvin. Rest assured there is no chance of a dangerous equipment malfunction prior to your victory candescence. Thank you for participating in this Aperture Science Computer-Aided Activity. Goodbye.’ Then I enter the fire pit.”

“What a crazy dream” Shadows commented

Snowy shook her head “actually, this is under the 'how I would like to die' section”

“Creepy… maybe he was the murderer” Stella said while looking around

“If that’s correct, we should be safe. All we can do is wait” Snowy said putting the diary on the table. The group continued to chat about random stuff and suddenly the lights went out causing everyone to scream.

“What’s happening?” Legend shouted as everyone stood up, trying to make their way through the darkness.

“Calm down, everyone. There’s a problem with the electricity that should be fixed soon,” one of the receptionists said.

“I think we should stay here till they fix it,” Stella said

“I know I’ m not going anywhere” Lita mumbled sitting down

“I haven’t slept for a while. I think I ‘m gonna head to my room” Legend yawned and made his way to his room. “I’ m going to bed too, good night guys” Snowy followed Legend.

“I don’t feel good, I think I’ m gonna take a walk outside” Shadows staggered to the door.

Snowy’s POV

We arrived at our rooms and exchanged a good night before going inside. I felt extremely tired as I fell on the bed. I was slowly drifting to sleep when I heard the familiar tone of my phone. I have received a new message.

“TICK! TOCK! News Flash! Someone is not getting out of here alive”

As soon as I have finished reading the message, I jumped out of the bed, sprinting to the door. Too bad, I slipped and fell on my right arm, hearing the loud cracking sound of my bones. I fought to get up knowing that every second counts. I managed to get back on my feet and hurried to the door trying desperately to open it but it seemed that it has been locked from the other side.

Now I was terrified. I started banging on the door, screaming as loud as I could.

“Don’t waste your time… no one is gonna hear you” I heard the taunting sound behind me. I turned quickly catching red eyes and a twisted smirk before everything faded to darkness.

Stella’s POV

Legend was found unconscious in his room. It seems like the murder drugged him before going for Snowy. Speaking of the murderer, the police came and took Shadows. After 3 days of investigating, they have finally found the murderer. Legend booked three tickets and we were ready to go home. This is our last night in South Africa.

Legend decided to rent a car and take us to visit a “special place”. He said it is a surprise. I do not know what is special about desert because that is where we are.

“There’s nothing here,” Lita said looking at the endless desert

“That’s what you think” Legend chuckled. He continued driving for 30 minutes and stopped the car in the middle of street.

“So, what do you guys think about what happened in the past days” Legend asked looking at the mirror.

“Um, it was the worst experience ever?” I answered slightly nervous.

“Do you really think Shadows was the murderer?” he asked, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. “A question can only be answered from a new perspective. Don't you agree?”

Only now, when I was speechless and terrified I heard the beeping sound. It was coming from the back of the car.

A bomb!

“When is something right in front of you but still hidden from view?”

“You are the murderer…” Lita whispered staring at him. He smirked and got out of the car.

“OPEN THE DOOR” I shouted at Lita and tried to open my door but it was locked. I leaned back and hit the window using my feet with all my power but it was unbreakable.

“No service” Lita cried throwing her phone.

The beeping was getting louder indicating that we had a few seconds to live.

We are going to die.

Clues:-

Yellow thing in the cake: I' m a Brazil fan... guess what's their colour? (I even said that in the story)

Cake: I like portal... just like Binary. Too bad for him.

Hole in Railen's neck: The talons,or claws on an eagle's toes are curved and razor-sharp for catching and holding their prey. Obviously I like eagles and used to mention them alot.

The quote “TICK! TOCK! News Flash! Someone is not getting out of here alive” and “When is something right in front of you but still hidden from view?” : It's from "Batman arkham asylum" game. Bragged about it a while ago.

Red eyes: I like the colour. Check the poll!

Like I said, all the clues together lead to the murderer. Portal hints can lead to Binary and the whole lights out, cake (shadows likes to spam cakes 4 b-days) and darkness can lead to Shadows.

Lack of votes made it kinda hard (Shadows never voted) but I admit I didn't have enough time to make it better. Sorry 4 that.

P.S: Slim M&P shouldn't have a story like plot cuz it's supposed to be fast and slim. Legend learned that the hard way.
