It's morning, and breakfast has been laid out at the window between the cafeteria and the kitchen.  The fluorescent lights above and the blinds blocking the sunlight from coming in the small windows near the ceiling make the room appear sterile.  The wake-up alarm has just sounded over the PA system, and it's time for inmates to file into the cafeteria for their meal of lukewarm, soupy, flavorless mashed potatoes and small, overcooked pork chops.

Snickie is sitting in the cafeteria already, her pork gone and pile of mashed potatoes only half-eaten.  Her straitjacket is serving as her napkin on her lap and has accumulated plenty of potato and pork bits.  She stares at the white mush on her plate and then uses her plastic spork to start sculpting the remaining lumps.

Liz, or JeremysGirl as we was known around the asylum, sits at a cafeteria table, making sure there was room for her imaginary boyfriend, Jeremie Belpois from Code Lyoko. He blue straightjacket was neatly folded next to her as she ate the food, if she called it that.

Tiredly, Kay looks around the cafeteria holding a plate of the supposedly edible food. Words couldn't describe how much she hated the alarm that sounded every morning, forcing her to wake up.
"Too early," she mumbled dropping the plate of food onto the nearest table, white mush spilling from the plate, and she pulled out a hard, plastic chair to sit on.

Kelly rubbed her eyes as she walked through the breakfast line. She picked up her styrofoam container and opened it slightly as she walked. There was a pile of white mush along with a few bits of meat. She shrugged, picking up a spoon and fork at the end of the line. It wasn't like there was ever good food here, anyway. Scanning the room, she spotted Snickie and sat down next to her.

Taking off her straitjacket and putting it under her seat, she greeted the other girl. "Good morning!"

[Snickie]

"Good morning, Ostrich Aelita," Snickie replies without looking to Kelly.  She continues to attempt to sculpt the potatoes, but keeps coming up with a mushy mound.  After several minutes she says, "Crap," stands up (dropping the straitjacket in the process), and picks up the tray to dump it into the nearest trash can.  She picks up her straitjacket and sits back down next to Kelly.

"You know, Ostrich Aelita," she says, tapping her fingers rhythmically on the table.  "If they served us stuff that was actually good, we wouldn't have to raid their pantry."

Having been at the asylum for several years now, Kelly was used to Snickie's habit of calling everyone Aelita. She brushed it off without a pause and took a bite of her mashed potatoes, nodding thoughtfully. "This stuff is...really bad. Really, really bad." She frowned. "Can we raid the pantry now?! Please? I'm going to starve if I don't get something better to eat."

[Snickie]

"Yeah, let's go," Snickie says.  She stands back up, folds her straitjacket underneath her arm, and skips to the open window separating the cafeteria and the kitchen.

[JeremysGirl]

Liz looked down at her mush and so-called meat. "Ugh! This stuff is nasty, Jeremie," she said to her imaginary boyfriend. She made a scowl at the plate, picked it up and threw it away in the nearby trashcan. She came back, picked up her straightjacket and sat back down. "Will we ever get real food in this place?"

Kay noticed the two inmates walking towards the kitchen area, she stood up in front of them and smirked, "I'm not the smartest person here, but it doesn't take the intelligence of Jeremie to figure out that you two are going to raid the pantry again."

[JeremysGirl]

Liz looked up. "Again? How many times have they done it now?"

[Snickie]

"Well of course, Fairy Tail Aelita," Snickie said nonchalantly as she hoisted herself up and jumped through the window into the kitchen.

[JeremysGirl]

Liz looked at where she imagined Jeremie to be. "Fairy Tail Aelita?" Jeremie shrugged. "I wouldn't know," he said. Liz looked over at Snickie. "Hey, would you mind  bringing me back some real food? I'm hungry."

[aelitaxwilliam]

"Why don't you come with us?" Kelly suggested. "It'll be like going on a spy mission! The four of us as the Three Musketeers...except there's four of us." She followed Snickie into the kitchen.

[JeremysGirl]

"Actually, there were four Muskateers," Liz said as she stood up. "Can Jeremie come along?" she asked.

[Atlas]

Atlas peeks from around the corner of the entrance into the cafeteria, shifting his eyes rapidly from one end of the room to the other. When he is satisfied that the coast is clear, he combat rolls forward and begins to army crawl to the lunch line.

He can be seen muttering "they must not see..... they must not see" as he makes his way there. He uses the straitjacket to cover himself and blend in with the white floor.

[Snickie]

Already well away from the window, Snickie doesn't notice Atlas sneaking around combat style, nor did she hear Liz when she had called out like five seconds ago.  She's too busy navigating the kitchen, not caring that she's risking being caught by the kitchen staff.  In actuality, the kitchen staff (well, all of the staff really, except for that one irritating guy) were terrified of the inmates, and so the odds of her running into one of the staff members are slim.

She finds the pantry in the back, open and unguarded as usual, walks inside, and immediately grabs three bags of plantain chips, hugging them to herself and whispering, "My precioussssssss....." as if she were Gollum and the three bags of golden crisps were the Ring.

What Liz sees:

Liz looks over at Jeremie. "Being ignored as usual." Jeremie held her hand up to his chest. "Not by me." Liz smiled at Jeremie, knowing that he'll always be there for her.

What the others see:

Liz looks over at the empty space beside her. "Being ignored as usual." She lifts her hand up in the air about chest level and smiles.

[The Pastamancer]

Pasta grabs his tray of food from the lunchline and sits down. One of the workers must have slipped some toast into his meal. He knew that it was poisoned by the toasters and threw it across the room in a panic.

After he finishes his meal he walks over to the toast he threw down and crushes it under his heel. Vowing he would get some food from the pantry since it hopefully wasn't poisoned by the toasters and would have tasted better than the pork and potatoes he had been given.

What Liz sees:

Liz looked at Atlas and Pasta, then looked at Jeremie. "Maybe later we can do a jigsaw puzzle." Jeremie smiled at Liz. "Sure, those are always fun." Liz smiled and kissed his cheek. "Cool. Thanks! You're the best!"

What others see:

Liz looked at Atlas and Pasta, then at the empty space beside her. "Maybe later we can do a jigsaw puzzle." There was a slight pause and Liz kissed the air at cheek level. "Cool. Thanks! You're the best!"

Kelly snuck a glance at Snickie. The girl was currently hugging three bags of plantain chips. Of course. She could never get enough of those weird yellow circles.

Being that she had much more sophisticated taste buds though, Kelly gave Snickie one last disgusted glance and made a beeline for the fridge. Grapes, she thought. If she could just find a bag of grapes, that'd make enduring the slop that was the asylum breakfast all worth it.

[Snickie]

Seeing Kelly dart towards the fridge, Snickie somehow manages to hold all three bags of plantain chips in one hand and joins her.  "See any sushi in there?"

PK stared at his tray, disgusted by the fact that every single day, he had to eat the slop on his tray. 

"Taters and meat again?" he asked himself, disgusted.  "I like mashed potatoes and meat, but, really?  This stuff taste like crap!"  He threw his tray onto the floor and hung his head.  He then looked up to see his invisible personality, Peace.

"Skipping lunch again?" his invisible personality asked.  "You know you can't be doing this."

"Doing what?" he asked his personality.  "Not eating lunch?"

"No." he replied.  "Just throwing it on the ground and pissing off the staff and such."

What Liz sees:

Liz looks over at Jeremie. "I want food, but I don't want to sneak into the kitchen and get into trouble." Jeremie looked at her. "Then don't do it. Ask the other two." Liz nodded and smiled. "Good idea."

Liz got up and went to the window. "Hey, can you two find me something?"

What the others see:

Liz looks at the empty space beside here. "I want food, but I don't want to sneak into the kitchen and get into trouble." There was a pause and then she nodded and smiled. "Good idea."

Liz got up and went to the window. "Hey, can you two find me something?"

[Snickie]

'Yeah, sure!" Snickie calls from the back of the kitchen, her voice barely audible from the refrigerator room.  "What do you want?"

"Well I..." Kay suddenly stops her sentence as she realises that the 2 inmates were no longer standing there and were in fact already in the kitchen getting food, "wait, but they were just....tch I zoned out again didn't I? Well there's no way I'm eating this mess, so I might as well run in and grab something for myself."

She gets up from her chair, grabbing her straight jacket in the process and starts to walk towards the window into the kitchen. However, Kay doesn't notice a certain straight jacket that's moving along the floor, that is, not until she stood on it.
