CLE Episode 14: Intrusion

So, a recap.

ADSFKHAGKDLJ THE ULUMI IN THIS EPISODE, I CAN'T EVEN. I so desperately want the English subs to come out already so I can know what Yumi wrote about Ulrich other than "immature". It sounded like it was a mix of the good and the bad, but since I don't know French I can't be sure. I'm kind of glad they made up, though. Trust Odd to push things between them. lol

The Cortex stuff. That battle with the ninjas was awesome! -golden lights and caroling angels- But then the one ninja who escaped! When Ulrich came and the ninja was dangling off the cliff in Carthage I was like, "What is that thing in its hand? It looks like some kind of digital grenade. I can't wait to see what it does." I think it acts as a spawner for more ninjas directly into Carthage.

This brings other questions into mind, though: why wasn't Jeremie able to detect the ninja on the skid/megapod until they were back in the Skid's hangar? And how was the ninja able to hang onto the Skid while they travelled in the digital sea without being erased and scattered? That whole green glowy thing he had on probably had something to do to it, and I thought it was just some kind of 'stealth mode' thing. Maybe it makes him stealthy and invulnerable to the digital sea as well. I dunno. I bet Laura would have noticed and been able to tell us what it was had she been there. :3

Maybe you've forgotten Jeremie, but Franz Hopper was trapped in the supercomputer for nearly a decade since 1994 and remained trapped until they destroyed XANA. So how could he have been on Earth arguing with Tyron? How many more liberties can this show take?

The character and relationship building that they're doing here was amazing. I'm really impressed even though I was skeptical of the whole show. I like that the writers are showing how much each member of the group NEEDS the dynamics that the group brings and the structure that each individual relationship provides.[I was also chanting KISSKISSKISSKISS]

I watched it with English subs today. I like that Ulrich and Yumi have finally admitted their feelings to each other but I do think it flowed a bit too easily... Still, though. I think they should've kissed.

Another problem I had was the Ulrich on Lyoko scene. I like that he finally used Triplicate, but how did he not see that thing in the Ninja's hand when he was hanging off the side? I mean, really.

Also, I think Odd and William were a bit too hard on Ulrich. I dunno. I'm feeling ultra sympathetic towards Ulrich today.

With all the Ulumi lately, I'm beginning to miss and wonder where the Jerlita is (besides the fact that she was in his room after midnight, but I don't count that because all they did was work).

She certainly knows how to change Aelita's attitude real quick; most of the time it seems like it's by accident too.

Yeah. Laura get's competitive, but more at Jeremie than Aelita, yet Aelita ends up getting all defensive. At least Laura's not doing the "I'm better than you" smirk thing like she did in her introduction episode. I wanted to slap her... >.<
It's interesting to see, even though I don't like it, how much Aelita is freaking out over this new member. A. I think because she's afraid Laura will get Jeremie's admiration B. Aelita might be afraid of being replaced as the resident computer-savvy female of the group.
But heck...no one can replace Aelita, she was practicly born in the thing...sort of... XD

I think this might be my favorite episode of CLE so far! It reminded me of the original CL, in that there’s some relationship drama while something big is happening on Lyoko…
