The Olympic Village

Hey everyone! This is our XL Olympics RP! It's not strict and doesn't have a plot like a traditional RP, jus thave fun. I'm sorting putting this is the real world, so if you want to choose between saving the Eye of London from a dragon or making the fencing competition, by all means, go for it. Seriously, just a place to relax. You don't even have to partipate in the XL Olympics to join this.

Shadows smiled as she looked in the mirror. She was trying on her uniform of the XL Olympic Team- a black long sleeved shirt with a red eye of XANA on the back, dark pants, and a fedora hat. Tomorrow, she would wear it at the opening ceremony, though no one was quite sure what sport she was actually qualified for (Xana's Lair was such a small country, they just sent their whole population to the opening ceremonies, a source of agitation for Olympic Committee after Olympic Committee.

But she was determined. This year, XL would get a medal in some sport. It was their time to shine.

Straightening her own fedora, Kitty flailed against Shadows's door--her elegant form of knocking. "Shadows, open up!" she yelled, drapeing herself against the door. "I want to see how you look!"

Peace was at his apartment, standing in front of a long mirror in his bathroom, where he wore a digital US Naval Uniform. He smiled as he stared at his name written on the tag. 'Peace', it read. He grabbed his Navy cap and then placed it ontop of his head.

"Man, I'm ready." Peace said, smiling as he stared at himself. He was going to wear the digital camo uniform to the opening ceremony. After all, he wanted to show his dad. Peace was into the Navy. That's why he was wearing that uniform.

"May be I should call Shadows." Peace said to himself. He walked over to his cell and looked up Shadow's number. He took a deep breath.

Jell sat crossed-legged on her bed, shifting positions slightly to keep a pile of paper from falling. She scribbled furiously on one of the sheets, pausing now and then to chew the end of her pen in careful consideration. The room was almost dark, but weak morning sunlight was filtering through the curtains.

She supposed it was time to get up and see what the rest of Team XL were doing.

Shadows heard the shouting and the flailing against her door and thought she was being attacked, so she opened her door with caution only to see Kitty standing there. She smiled. "Kitty, the uniform looks great on you! How do I look?"

Just then, her phone rang.

[Snickie]

Snickie yawned sleepily, under the warm covers on her bed. Groaning, she reached over to press the snooze button on her alarm clock next to her bed. She could still sleep for another few minutes... she wasn't urgently needed anytime soon, she thought in her half-asleep daze. Convinced, she rolled over, found a warm spot, and continued to doze.

I grabbed my camera as I left my room. I had a day off before all the excitement started, & I knew exactly what I wanted to do: Take a picture of myself with a Police Box, & take a picture of myself standing between Platforms 9 & 10 at the train station…

[Kittyclaw]

"You look awesome!" Kitty said, grinning. "Although we'll have to change before we go out, I think. I know Stella's off to sight see, so I was thinking we could bum along with her." She paused when she noticed Shadows's phone ringing. "However that it, they should come too!"

"Yeah!" Shadows said. "Sight seeing sounds fantastic. As long as we get to ride the Tube, I'm happy! And isn't it great that we got here without even robbing a bank? Yeah, we should invite the whole group to come with us.

She then turned, got her cell phone, and accepted the call.

"Hello! You've reached SeeMeInTheShadows. I'm totally here right now, so please start speeking at the beep and I'll respond to you. BEEEEEP!"

[Snickie]

About three hours later, Snickie finally dragged herself out of bed. Her fat black cat Snick hissed when she threw off the covers, but Snickie ignored her, and she went to sit on a stack of clothes sitting in the corner. "No, Snick," mumbled Snickie as she picked up the complaining kitty and set her back on the bed.

Snickie picked up the clothes, a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt and, suspiciously, a black fedora. "Where'd this come from?" She mused before getting dressed, saving the fedora for after she'd brushed her hair. She grabbed her purse and black flats and left the room to go into town, looking for croissants and sushi. She waved to Kitty and Shadows in the hall.

At the first sign of morning, Skystone Numairian wriggled out from her blanket cocoon and on to the floor, scooping up a badly chewed pair of glasses before tumbling down the stairs and into the kitchen. After completely inhaling the contents of the refrigerator, she pulled herself up wearily, a bundle on the counter catching her eye. Picking out the articles of clothing one by one, Sky nodded to herself, looking over the uniform curiously.

"Yeah, this'll work." She grinned, absentmindedly chewing on the brim of the fedora. "This'll work just fine."

Shadows, phone still to ear waved back at Snickie. The person on the other end hadn't responded yet, but she wasn't worrying. Her unique way of answering phones had cost her many a job and confused many a people. She motioned for Kitty to come inside her room and made some tea, because she was going to have some England, stereotyping or not. She made three cups, one for her, Kitty, and Snickie (though with Snickie's tea-making habits, Shadows wasn't positive it would pass the Snickie test).

[Snickie]

Somehow, Snickie was distracted from her croissant-and-sushi wandering and followed Shadows and Kitty into Shadows' room. She observed Shadows' teamaking, and was reminded briefly of that episode of Good Eats where Alton Brown had made tea. She sat down and thanked Shadows as the tea was set in front of her.

There was no particular tea-test that Shadows had to pass, only that Snickie had to like it. Unfortunately for her, Snickie was picky about her tea flavor and usually drank one of three different flavors at home, and always with lemon (even when she had lemon tea) and honey.

She picked up the cup and took a sip.

Rena had jetlag- because, London? Seriously? But when she rolled out of bed and noticed Kitty was gone she'd wandered towards her teammates rooms until she saw an open door.

"Hi," she yawned unceremoniously, crawling into Kitty's lap to lay down. "Why is there an ugly hat on my dresser?"

Rae was locked up in her room with only her headphones and iPhone in sight. She had a personal deadline to meet and as of right now it looked like she wasn't going to make it. Though she saw what she was given tower she rolled her eyes and shoved it in the corner. Someone thought it would be funny to make her wear her Lyoko form to this. On top of that she woke up that morning with scaly skin, wings, and a tail. She figured that Shadows would enjoy watching her suffer as a Pandryl in golden armor. Or in the farther corner of the room was her long black shirt, pants and silly hat. The hat was encased in ice and while Rae was working on her story she contimplated on how to dispose of the hideous thing.

Kitty handed her tea down to Rena, while trying to lean in on Shadows's phone call.

"Come on Pk!" she shouted, "Come have tea and Stella stalk with us!"

"This is not coffee." She pushed it back on the table.

[PeaceKeeper2014]

"Hey, Shadows." Peace said. "How's everything?"

[Snickie]

"Good thing, too," said Snickie as she set down her cup. "Coffee's nasty."

[SeeMeInTheShadows]

Shadows, in one ear, told PK, "It's fantastic. Come on down to my hotel room, we're all gathering and having tea." She covered the reciever with her mouth and turned talked to the kitchen as a whole and Rena in particular, "except Rena! I agree with Snickie on this one, coffee is blehg."

She turned her attention back to her phone. "Seriously PK, the party's just getting started, come on down!"

"I'll be down in a few." Peace told her.

"Nice," Shadows said. She hung up and turned to the room.

"Hey guys, good news. Peace is on his way down here. Now it'll be a real party." She turned put more water on the stove for tea and even took out a few packages of donuts and cinamon rolls she had brought with her.

After finishing her chapter Rae figured it would be fun to drop in on Shadows. So she dawned her armor and shifted. Then it was a quick jog outside then she flapped her wings to gain altitude. As soon as she found Shadows window, using her clawed feet, Rae grabbed onto the ledge above her and knocked on the window, hanging upside down. Her wings were folded in, but prepared to be extended if she starts falling.

Shadows heard the knocking on the window and walked over casually (as people coming in through windows was a normal occurance in this place) putting Kitty, Rena, and Snickie in charge of tea duty. Hopefully the hotel wouldn't charge for damages.

She whistled as she walked over and cameface to face with...Rae?

She let Rae in and tilted her head to the side. "What happened to you? And where's your fedora hat? They're required wearing at all time!"

Peace pulled in front of the building and knocked on the window.

"Guess who." Peace joked.
