Hello!! I was surprised to see there was no J/A topic on here, so thus, I made one. ^^
Jeremie and Aelita are meant to be. Yes....yes....there is some interesting attraction between Aelita and Odd, but...I'm sorry, but...just... NO. Jeremie has loved her since day one, and will do ANYTHING for her.
And plus he's just so adorable...^^ who could break that heart of his....<3
They have their own language together, they respect each other- mostly, until one of them loses their temper ^^;- and they were each other's first real friends.
Yes, Ulrich and Jeremie were known to each other before Jeremie turned on the super computer. BUT...Aelita was Jeremie's first real friend who understood him.
And if course, for him, it was love at first sight. *sigh*
So, peoplez, what would you venture to guess how their relationship might change for Season 5? Will Jeremie (Ulrich, this might not be a bad idea for you either) finally grow some guts and at least tell her how he feels or kiss her or SOMETHING?!

I think that Jeremie and Aelita is the most canon.

She's the reason he kept Lyoko on!

And I mean, come on! She kisses him! If that's not love, what is?

I think they should be a couple in evolution. Like, don't even have the awkwardness of them asking to go out, because we don't need these relationships stagnated anymore!

Amen to that. I mean, Jeremie can be downright adorable when he get's all shy and blushy, but come on boy, make freaking move!!!
Now, granted, he does flirt with her is his subtle way, but still...It'd be awesome if Jeremie, who usually is the passive one in the relationship, made a fairly bold move, like kissing her. (At least on the cheek, come on Einstien!!) The look on her face would be perfect. ^^ XD

Well, technicly, J/A are already ahead of them anyway. I mean, Jeremie and Aelita do occasioanlly hold hands (squee!! ^^), and of course, Aelita's kissed him on the cheek on many an occasional. Yumi's kissed Ulrich on the cheek, like what...twice?
COME ON, girl...you're supposed to be brave one!!!
But then again love can make people do very strange things....^^;

You're right!! I wonder if they'll have that so they did get together in the calm before the storm of the Evolution...but then again that means we missed all the quite awkward first dates. ^^

I adore Oddlita, but as much as I would like to live in denial (HP reference here...I swear, Dramione is canon. They totally are!), I can't. It'd be cool if they were together before CLE started, but I'd also like to see them going through the stage of dancing around each other. No matter how I feel about a ship, I always love seeing the before stages where they seriously think about asking each other out, and freak out whenever they get the courage to.

And I feel like it's almost certain that they will get together. More like a matter of when than an if (or maybe the producers are laughing at me now and won't do it just to spite my prediction skills). My biggest question would be how much they would show. Obviously they're only going to be, what, fifteen (fourteen?), so they won't be that doing much. They're also relatively innocent in the realm of those things. At the same time though, they're going to be in a relationship. People in a real relationship in high don't only blush at each other without doing anything.

To cut off my long ramble, I think what I want to see is how they'll handle the CL characters growing up and how it'll affect the relationships (which is making my post less Jerlita oriented and more CL oriented, I guess). The show is meant for 7-12 year olds or something like if I remember correctly, so it'll be interesting seeing how far they'll take it.

You're right. (And yes, I got the HP reference!!! ^^ Malfoy and Heremonie? That'd be interesting!! But I get you...^^I used to wish Luna and Harry would get together. It's be so cute!!! ^^) Seeing them grow up will defently change the romantic dynamics of the relationships. Especially since, like you said, the show is still being thrown at younger preteens....even though far old kids and adults (^^) watch it too.

Firstly; I approve of this thread.

I guess one of the things I like most about JxA is how their relationship develops through the series. It was kind of inevitable with Aelita's progression from 'virtual' being to real person in the real world, but it's interesting to see how their interactions change as Aelita sees more of the world, loses some of her naivety, and stops doting on Jérémie quite to the extent she did in the first series. In a way their separate character development makes them more like equals by the end of the series, which makes their relationship much more fleshed out in both the romantic and friendship senses.

Like any and all teenagers growing up, they have their ups and downs, but I think they've been through too much together to ever want anyone else.

I have a reeeeaaaallllyyyyy idiotic question, but since I've never been quite sure...what exactly does canon mean, anyway? It's tossed around constantly in 'shipping, but I don't get it. ^^; Does it mean "meant to be" or something? (If it does, that J/A is certainlly canon!! XD)

Canon means in accordance with the show. Or supported, though that makes it a little vague. Basically, if it's in the show, it's canon.

I would like to see CLE show their progression into BF & GF. The awkwardness was a lot of fun, not only to watch, but to write. And the moment where all that unreleased tension just snaps, and they kiss, is a beautiful moment every time I read it, and I fully expect moonscoop to do it justice.

Me too!! I mean, they gotta have a romantic heart in there, and have all the hopes and blushes and stolen looks between our heros come to some sort of fruition.
I mean, yes, Aelita and Jeremie did kiss. THANK YOU godsness. But...they could kiss again. (Jeremie? *hint hint* your turn...) Or Yumi and Ulrich, since their first kiss never actually happened. ^^;

Exactly. They- okay, nonromantics may gag at this but it's true- complete each other in alot of ways. They bring each other out of their shells and egg each other on. It's really the ideal relationship. With MUCH less drama than some of the other relationships...
