If you're wondering, I don't consider it a "piece of technology".

Technology is the making, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems or methods of organization in order to solve a problem or perform a specific function.

It only creates problems and pretty much has no function. Other than making trouble. Which can be considered a function. Hmm... I am contradicting myself right now.
