Chess

An old game they played centuries ago, and yet still is popular. Everyone should know at least a bit of it - therefore I give you this challenge! Beat the computer at chess and earn a Carthage Point!

Of course you'll have to prove your great skill by posting a screenshot of your victory. It should be something like this:

Where do I play the game? Do you mean any online chess game, or a certain one?

Oh wow, I guess you and I have similar strategies, because I beat the computer the same way you did -- a queen, diagonally, within the first few moves. That really wasn't my intention, though, so I'll give it another go.

EDIT: Do stale mates count?

It's not really a strategy of mine. I use it solely to determine how good the opponent is. If they're totally new, they're dead in four turns. If they're just a little smart, unlike this computer, they can counter it easily and take your queen. Razz

Which is why for the real stuff I use other strategies and save my queen for last. I just figured I shouldn't put up a too hard computer for now. Gives a chance to everyone to win!

And no, sadly not. Smile

That's considered a draw, you really have to win.
