Sectors!

You’ve probably heard about sectors and the sector competition, and if you haven’t, I guarantee that you will soon. It’s a fun thing to do here and it really completes your stay at Xana’s Lair. You can learn more in the Welcome Center forum or by PMing a staff member. But recently, we have noticed some confusion surrounding the joining of Sectors.

You can never not join the sectors. They are always open, even once competitions start. Someone can join XL in three months from now and still become part of a sector. You are never too late to join.

This means that there is usually a few sectors with more people and a few sectors with less people. Don’t worry, all the sectors will always be within a certain number of members of each other, the staff members will make it so. And remember YOU CAN ALWAYS JOIN.

So send a PM to a member of a staff or post your intention to join and what sector you want in the Sector Competition thread. You can also put it in your introduction topic, but PMing and posting in the Sector Competition thread is preferred.

But also note: we only put people in sectors who we feel are active and will stay active. This means that even if you say you would like to join a sector, we may wait a bit to actually put you in a sector.

As of right now, the requirments are 100 posts, at least a month old, and consistent activity.

The Sectors are as follow.

Forest- The Grey Havens:The longest-standing kingdom in Middle-earth and the mightiest throughout time
---Led by AeonFrodo

Desert- The Cactus Society: An elite group for those select individuals who want to experience adventure. Not, in fact, the Dessert sector, but we have plenty of that too.
---Led by Soul_Jelly

Ice- Order of the Scales: residing deep within the Caverns of Jormungandr, though a reclusive and evasive group, people who have worked with the order compliment their good nature and loyalty. But beware their fierce determination and cunningness or else you may be found yourself near Jormungandr's resting place.
---Led by Eilorae

Mountain- Halls of Olympus: The home of the valiant and a place where your stories of great deeds can be told.

Quick question.
When you apply for a sector, how do you know when you've been accepted?

Do you just get a pm saying so?
