Ulrich was pointing an accusing finger at Odd. "You threw that frog at me!"

"I did not!" Odd shouted back, stomping a foot. "It jumped out of my hand and you just happened to be in the way!"

"Liar!"

"Don't call me a liar!" Odd's hands balled into tiny fists at his sides.

"You can't tell me to do anything!" Ulrich said and he then stuck out his tongue.

"You want to try that one more time?" Odd warned, bringing his tiny fists up to his face in threat.

Ulrich stuck his tongue out again, his fists on his hips. Odd tackled Ulrich to the ground with a shout of fury and they landed in a large mud puddle.

"Hey, hey!" Mr. Stern said as him and Mr. Parker went forward to break the two boys up.

"Break it up boys!" Bubba said.

They easily separated the two little boys' fight and they brought them away from each other. One on one side of the mud puddle, one of the other. They were dripping mud and barely any of Odd's bright blonde hair could be seen through the thick muck.

"He stuck his tongue out at me!" Odd said to Bubba.

"He threw a frog at me!" Ulrich said to his father.

"Did not!"

"Did to!"

"Okay, okay! That's enough!" Mr. Stern reprimanded him. "You're going home right now and we're going to rinse you off."

"You're getting a bath as soon as you get home." Mr. Parker reprimanded Odd. "You best be glad that your momma isn't here to give you the wooden spoon."

Odd and Ulrich crossed their arms and pouted as they made their way back to their houses. But not before sharing a glance back and sticking their tongues out at each other.
