Well, I haven't had the discipline to write for the last month or so, but I'm sure that will vanish when I return to school in a week, and will have nothing else to distract myself with. Until then, here are some recent sprite works I've done, and I suppose I'll keep this thread updated with some art if I remember to do so.

Cool, I thought I was the only one here. I used to run various sprite shops on different forums where I'd sprite on request for people. Often times I'd get busy or complacent though. If you'd like, I could open for a request or two.


On another note, another sprite for a neoseeker contest;

The idea was to have a trainer cosplay as a Pokemon (in this case Sneasel).

Are pokemon cosplays the only sprites you make?

No. I do splices, revamps, devamps, recolors, reposes, fakemon, scratch edits, pixel overs, just about everything.

Jonathon is a tall guy (about 5'11") if that helps with swimmer/runner body type, so fit but thin. He wears and all green outfit, the pants just look like pants but the shirt is specific, it's kind of like a hoodie, but it's leather and more like a jacket, but it still has a hood on it. All of it is green, could you slightly deviate the shades of green on the shirt and pants to make it look a little less bland? The hood when pulled up, which it usually is, could you draw it pulled up? anyways, when it's up it creates a shadow over the top half of his face revealing only the nose and mouth. There will be a strap running from is right shoulder to his left hip, this strap holds a green quiver on his back that peaks out over his right shoulder so his arm can easily reach the arrows. The arrows are also green, the fletching, shaft, tip, everything. Could you draw him as if you were looking at him head on? I'd like the bow to be being pointed slightly away from directly head-on as if he were aiming at something next to you. And if you could, I'd like the arrow that's on the bow to be flaming at the tip with green fire. Please tell me if there's anything else you'd like to know, or if there is too much that i've written, i know i'm asking for a lot of detail so feel free to tell me it's a little too much. Also, take as much creative license as you want as long as he's green and the arrow is on fire! xD as long as it looks awesome i'll be happy. Again, just tell me if it's too much or if you need something.

Yeah, I did prefer the newer shading. Thank you. There is still that weird random green block stuff in the background of the photo. It wasn't in the picture you posted or my save file so I know you didn't draw them in there. I think the site might be messing it up a little. Ah, whatever, it still looks great! Thanks again!

Try saving the image before setting it as your avatar. If not, I'll just sent you a version with no transparency.

I did save the image to my computer. then i used that save file to upload to the avatar selection. But if the image was a transparency then it's possible that the background stuff is leakthrough from old images that were once the avatar that are being seen because of the transparency. I don't know, but it's worth a shot with the non-transparent one.

I came up with an idea for an alternate Vibrava evolution. I'm not sure what I think of it. It's meant to be bug/dragon type;

You know how Kirlia has two evolution possibilities and so does Snowrunt?

Yeah, and so does Gloom. That was kind of the idea of this. Actually, my reasoning for this was to make a Pokemon like Flygon, but with 120 base speed, 80 base attack, and without a x4 weakness.

YES! YES! it's like a separate evolution option that is much stronger! But instead of needing an item to get your Vibrava to evolve into it.....maybe it would just be 1 out of X number evolutions turns into this. Like maybe .001% of them.

It could be evolution based on the personality value (the PID number), like with Wurmple. In that case it would be random 50/50. I can see that frustrating some people though.

Hmm...I kind of like the idea of a separate evolution that's ultra rare. people would freak over it. If you had one, you'd be like...the coolest person ever.

Yeah, but people would cry foul, ..or just PokeGen for one (like I do).
