The Punic Wars

Here's the very start of my fic, the first place I changed something:

Team Lyoko was in the terminal room, having just returned from their excursion to Siberia.

“He’s a mountain, not a monster!” Aelita seemed more bemused than afraid.

“I can’t wait to see what Odd’s going to call him.” Ulrich seemed resigned.

“The Kolossus, with a K, like in KO!”

“I don’t know who’s going to get KOed, but the name sure suits him.” Ulrich said.

“We’ll never make it now, as soon as we try to set foot on a Replika, he’ll be there, to devirtualize us before we can say Lyoko!” Yumi was perhaps the most concerned.

“It can’t be as bad as all that. He’s just another monster, and I’m willing to bet he has the same weakness as all the others.” Jeremie reassured her.

“What I’m worried about is the number of supercomputers XANA controls. He used 11 other replicas, as well as the one you were on, to power the Kolossus. What’s more, XANA’s never been one to play all his cards at once. I’d say he’d keep at least 5 hidden, along with a last refuge. But let’s focus on the good news: with the data Aelita recovered from William’s controlling tower, I should be able to find a way to break XANA’s hold on him.” He continued.

“You guys should get some sleep.”

“What about you, Einstein?” Odd replied.

“I wouldn’t be able to anyway. I’m going to work on the William problem.”

“Aelita, are you coming?” Ulrich asked.

“No, I wouldn’t sleep either.”

We didn't get to see enough of the Kolossus, I want XANA to pull a couple dirty tricks with William before he's recovered, and I never like when the enemy is revealed to be so strong only a deus ex machina would suffice to kill it (thus a reasonable number of replikas rather than the canonical hundreds). Ongoing, feedback (especially constructive criticism) welcome. Will get this up on ff.net when it reaches reasonable size.
