XANA's Strategies
Ok, Now, I'm not a big fan of XANA, I mean, I like him better than Jeremie, but I still hate him. The ONLY episode I liked XANA was Marabounta. But, that's besides the point.
In Season 4, when XANA was trying to throw Aelita into the Digital Sea, why didn't he just virutalize her OVER it?? I mean, instead of virtualizing her in the middle of a Plateu, and having to FIGHT with her to get her into the sea, why not just virtualize her over the sea, and then just do it that way.........It was like he enjoyed over-complicating things.
Just my opinion, I mean, maybe he did have a plan by sending her to the middle of a plateu, IDK, he's XANA, I don't understand him.

Re: XANA's Strategies
I sort of assumed that there is some sort of restriction on the virtualization so that they always land on land.
In the early episodes Jeremie was not very accurate in his virtualizations yet they still landed above land.
Of course this wouldn't explain why he didn't just remove this block.

Re: XANA's Strategies
He was trying to get Franz to come & save her, so XANA needed to wait for Franz to show up? It takes a lot longer to fight her than it would to just throw her in the Digital Sea…& XANA needs her alive to get to Franz…
Re: XANA's Strategies
I always thought XANA was operating under "hardwired" restrictions, or pieces of his own original code that he hasn't been able to modify.
Like: "Don't kill a human (directly)" Countless examples.
Or: "Pursue primary objective only" A few episodes where he kidnaps Aelita, only to virtualize her (to escape/delete sector/lure FH) instead of leaving her somewhere, incapacitating the others, and then doing that.
