Old fan, new to the site

Thought I would fill out this basic form (copy+paste from Lyoko Freak) for formality, but now you get to actually hear about me. I am 19 and a freshman at a local conservative Christian College, majoring in Computer Science and Japanese. Video games are a huge passion of mine; I have a collection around 500-600 strong (just physical games mind you; around 1000 with digital games counted). Code Lyoko has always been something I have loved ever since I first saw it all those years ago, but I have always been disturbed by the lack of fan-created content for this show when compared with others.

I recently ordered the first season DVD (the new release, not the old 3 disc) off of Amazon, and I plan to order all of the French DVDs at some point in the future so I can own the original version of the show (also, their packaging is better than ours). I want to start some sort of weekly stream in which we watch through all of Code Lyoko from beginning to end - I have interest on Reddit and will be posting a topic here about it shortly.

I am currently messing around with Unity and debating whether or not to use it to make an open world Lyoko-based game to actually do the franchise justice instead of churning out shovelware to make a quick profit.

I am also a part of the Brony community and quite a few different random subreddits (on Reddit, of course). I am most active on Reddit; seek me out there if you need me quickly.

Jeremie x Aelita has always seemed a bit weird to me, like it isn't borne out of actual interest in each other and rather is because they are each others' only viable options for the entire first season.

Haven't thought too much about the other ships, strangely...usually shipping is something I more actively think about. I will get back to you on that then.

Welcome to the forum, Tegan! I'm assuming you want to be called that, anyway. (some people have all sorts of nicknames here--some that really don't make sense until you learn the meaning behind them, lmao). I'm Kelly. Welcome to the forum!

We seem to have more than a few Michiganers here--Rena, John, Quin, and Suna, as far as I know. And that's just off the top of my head. There's an episode discussion section for both discussing CLE episodes (if you've been keeping up with them) and the older episodes. We also like shipping here, but I promise you, we're all civil about it. (and for reference if you ever find yourself lurking around the characters section--if Atlas is posting about relationships in CL, there's a fairly large chance that he's trolling)

Hmm, is there is a large Reddit community for CL? I don't really hang around Reddit, so I wouldn't know, but it's interesting how spread out the English community is. In any case, glad to have you and hope to see you around!

There isn't an enormous Reddit community - about 400 subscribers to the subreddit, but not everyone is active.
