Well, I've noticed lately that JerYumi seems to actually be pretty popular here, and I was wondering why people seem to ship it so much. It's my OTP, but there's also a very small amount of stories that uses them. Just wondering what you guys think of this pairing.

Let's all share our favourite JerYu fics! This is one of mine.

I like the pairing because it's one of contrasts - oldest and youngest, nerdy boy and action girl - but Jérémie and Yumi both have a level of maturity that puts them on a common level. Jérémie's is more intellectual (and in some ways he's quite grown-up, considering his smooth-running relationship with Aelita in contrast to the turbulence that is UlYu) and Yumi's is more emotional. Basically, they have enough differences that the pairing is unusual and interesting, and enough similarities that they easily have sufficient common ground to form the basis of a deeper relationship.

Same as Soul. I like that they're on the same level of maturity. And they really seem to get each other, friendship-wise. At least, that's what I'd like to think, and that's my headcanon anyway. They understand what it's like to be the mature one, and what it's like to have all that responsbility hanging over their heads.

I also think they just really make an adorable couple.

It makes for a somewhat darker shipping than JxA, imo. Jerlita is usually very light and fluffy, whereas JerYumi has a lot of angsty potential. At least, that's what I feel.

Also, I feel that Yumi tends to want to be the 'strong one' in the relationship. Now, I've made no secret that I feel Jeremie to be harshly overburdened, so to also have to make him the strong one in the Jerlita relationship seems wrong, whereas I feel he's mature enough to be in a relationship with Yumi, I also feel she'd definitely be the dominant.

If that makes any sense at all.

I'm a Jerlita fan, but I would ship this. I mean, if OxA happened, I wouldn't mind JerYumi. Also, I feel that they already have a close relationship. While it may be on a brother and sister kind of level, I could see it becoming something more. When watching the first season, you can see that brother-sister relationship (she even talks to him about Ulrich). I guess, too, considering the fact that Jeremie is the youngest of the group, she kind of takes care of him in a way. And yeah, they are on a similar maturity level. All to say, I could ship this.

I like the idea of a brother/sister relationship…One thing they each have in common is that they have trouble admitting their feelings to the people they love. I can easily see them trying to give each other advice about that…

Has anyone found any particularly good JxY fanfics? I can never find any that are more than a chapter or two long, or the ones that are are always unfinished
