Now, we all know our genres. We all know that fan-fiction is more imagination and all that. However, there's one type of story that can be overlooked over a 1,000 times by anyone. It's not a genre. It's not even close to being a writing style... It's the way the story is set. It's a realistic Fan-Fiction.

Tell what you think. Do you think they're rare? Do you think they aren't? Do you think Lyoko can be brought to life by adding tons of realism? Discuss! XD

Could you elaborate on what you mean by 'realistic'? I figured you meant taking out the supercomputer and all the sci-fic fantasy elements but now I'm not sure.

I meant realistic by the elements of the plot, story, settings, etc. Real Places, Real Events, Real People, etc.

Ah, like someone writing a story where they set things in real cities in France and things like that? I tried that once with a story but it just...it gets tough to keep it realistic because that can put constraints on what you can do with the story

I think it’s possible, depending on the story & how much research is required…At the same time, though, I think writers can make things a little less realistic if it helps the story…
