Title: Ghosts in the Machine
Link: Here
Author: Carth
Rating: T
Summary: When the Lyoko Warriors vanish suddenly, the world crumbles under XANA's might...and only the survivors of Kadic Academy have the knowledge and power to make things right again.
Reason for nomination: Without a doubt one of the best things I've ever read. Excellently written, full of mystery and drama, a great exploration of Sissi's character. It's one of those fics I really hope the author keeps returning to, because it's killing me not knowing what happened to the rest of the Lyoko warriors.
Story Title: Black Target

Author: Avatarcatz2323

Rating: T
Summary: Yumi is targeted by an evil man because she sees something that she's not supposed to. With the Supercomputer shut down, there's no Return to the Past. When the man finds her, what will they do when they find the Supercomputer destroyed?
Reason For Nomination: It's one of those fanfics where it's hard to predict what happens next, and it keeps you guessing and thinking about it. Not to mention it does have suspenseful cliffhangers and some of the scenes are really well written. It really delivers on the meaning of suspense and action in a fanfic..
b]Story Title:[/b] Battleship: Code Lyoko
Author: Peace Keeper 2014
Rating: T
Summary: When Yumi and Ulrich attend a field trip to the NATO War Games, Xana plans to seal them in and destroy them. It's a war for survival on land and sea. Crossover with the sci-fi movie 'Battleship'.
Reason For Nomination: PK is a great writer and action scenes are his forté - there are some great ones in this fic, along with some neat YxU scenes and a fair amount of screen-time for Jim, which is always a plus in my book. Even if you aren't familiar with the movie 'Battleship' this is still a great read, fast-paced and engaging with an admirably fast update schedule. Also PK's enthusiasm for his writing really shines through in all his work, which makes the fic that much more fun for me.
Story Title: Janka's Arrvel

Author: Janka

Rating: K
Summary:
What if someone new at Kadic Junior High accidentally discovered Lyoko thinking it was a game? What if this spunky girl was in over her head without realizing? 1st episode
Reason For Nomination: This is the begnng of a seres that has lastd sevrl yers. I remmber when this first strtd, & the first thng I'd do when I got home from schol was to see if thre was an updte...Havng an OC be part of the gang might be done a lot, but this OC relly is her own persn. It's relly well done...

Re: Best Action
Okay, again, I'm going to back one of my own nominations. Sorry. But Ghosts in the Machine just wins outright for me. I'm taking points off for it being unfinished and the slow update schedule, but what there is is complete genius imo.
That said, I haven't finished Black Target yet so I might have more to add to this later.

Re: Best Action
It may sound like I'm voting for my own story just to win, but I'm not. I LITERALLY READ EVERYBODY'S and this is my true opinion for judging. No, I mean it.
Battleship: Code Lyoko, for me, wins my vote. It may be unfair to vote for my own story, but, then again, this is what I, as a judge, not an author, chose. Battleship just shows the many prespectives of a 3D conflict with Xana, where nothing is reversable. That may be the case with the other one, but, however, Battleship scores big.
The plots with the other stories are amazing. However, I like the placement of Jim within the first few chapters. I have not completed my tour of everyone elses, but, as an honest to God judge, Battleship: Code Lyoko lands my vote.
More on my vote on Battleship:
I really like the many perspectives the story shows. There are many characters in three types of different conflicts. I really like that it takes the time to go into many different perspectives in more than three different types of conflicts. I really love the other stories, however, B: CL really did a better job of immersing me into a 3-D conflict. Well, that's what I call a conflict with many different perspectives.
The other stories, I really like the depth they went through and also the immersion. However, for an action novel, no other does a better job at delivering fast-paced, adrenaline rushing, immersive, and very suspenseful action than my vote for Battleship: Code Lyoko.
And, I think it's time to have a younger story win, after seeing several old stories nominated and winning.

Don't feel bad. Once again, I'm voting the same as you, and I feel like a parrot.
Ghosts in the Machine is just fantastic, and I love it already. Wonderful writing, wonderful characterisation, and I absolutely adore the plot. Avenshire Academy. Can it get any better than that? Carth also does amazingly at visualisation. Admittedly, a slow update schedule isn't great (which I wouldn't know about since I've never read this before now, but if we're going by what Jell says...), but her writing just blows me away.

Re: Best Action
I'm reverting to my listing my Honourable Mentions here too now. XD it's either GitM or Battleship for me; I'd be happy to see either of those win and the other get an honourable mention. GitM is absolutely stellar, and PK's writing is also always enjoyable, along with his committment, planning and overall inventiveness.

Re: Best Action
I'm going to have to go with GITM with this one, with Battleship coming in a pretty close second. GITM- just, how it's written is like really descriptive and the setting is amazing, as well as the use of Sissi as a major character.I just loved the whole setup.
And Battleship, with all the work PK has given it has so much depth.
The other two, Black Target and Janika's arrival were both good, but neither truly captured my interest. The two above (Battleship and GITM) just have amazing descriptions and actions.
