Shields
When choosing the One Handed + Shield category, you are granted a shield, which is used to provide further defense to you, and depending on your skills a possible second weapon. Like Weapons, they are able to carry effects and enchantments much like weapons. Unlike them though, they don't have two stats to spread between, but rather several types of damage.
All shields start with 6 points to spend on one stat: Resilience. Resilience starts with 0 to all types of damage, then the 6 points are used to boost defense against a type of damage.
The types of damage are fire, frost, darkness, light, stabbing, slashing, blunt and projectile damage.
The standard shield format is:
